I'm sorry its a sensitive subject i think i'll shut up now...

Take your conspiracy theories and go to hell. Really, it's just getting stupid at this point. We take factual information, and give it to you, and you keep going on and on and on about the elitists, the Kennedy assasination, and the US military purposely blowing up the Pentagon.

1. Kennedy's assasination was very very odd and conspiracy theories have been out for ages.
2. No one has ever seen any evidence to show that a boeing hit the Pentagon. Supply me with facts, images, videos, proof and i'll believe you, until then i'll keep an open mind. I never said i supported the conspiracy theory i just said i don't trust what happened at the pentagon.
3. The problems with america are the elitests and are the republicans and democrats, both of them are utterly useless the democrats are just wimps who won't stand up for justice and equality.
4. You've never shown any facts on anything either all you seem to do is talk about the US military, come on spence, is that all you know about the Military?

Please open up your damn eyes and realize that there was no possible way to clear the use of fighters from Andrews within 20 minutes unless it's during war time.

Yet it still took another 18 minutes after the time you just said. I know what your saying, the chain of command, shock, panic but i'm still saying when peoples lives are at risk they should have responded quicker.

Also, a Tu-22M probably wouldn't get within 100 miles of the coast. We have EWRs up at Iceland and all along the coast, and they're trained to work with interceptor squadrons of F-15Cs and Es (but mainly Cs).

Sure thing i'm unable to see how Iceland is revelant when you have inland airbases anyway.

I've read it before, i've done enough read up on this. That link was in the list i gave on the previous page or two, check out the rest of the links. Again the argument goes both ways.

But for the love of god they could've been in the air ready to fire. If i was talking about shooting down first sight, id mention sam sites but obviously that would not work from the reasons you stated above. They couldve at least moved their arse to escort the plane until the order is given, not scramble after some 30 minutes when its worthless effort then.

as far as they knew it could have been a hostage situation... in which case a fighter escort could have resulted in the deaths of the hostages... also think that blowing up an aircraft with a missile over a major city, and right by the building isn't all that much better than the aircraft actually hitting the building

Also, a Tu-22M probably wouldn't get within 100 miles of the coast. We have EWRs up at Iceland and all along the coast, and they're trained to work with interceptor squadrons of F-15Cs and Es (but mainly Cs).

I said it wouldn't ever get over American soil...

1. Kennedy's assasination was very very odd and conspiracy theories have been out for ages.

there are also conspiracy theories about roswell... just because theories have been around a long time doesn't make them true

2. No one has ever seen any evidence to show that a boeing hit the Pentagon. Supply me with facts, images, videos, proof and i'll believe you, until then i'll keep an open mind. I never said i supported the conspiracy theory i just said i don't trust what happened at the pentagon.

you mean like the satalite images of it? The gaping hole in the pentagon? the charred debris of the airplane? eye witness accounts? what else do you want?

3. The problems with america are the elitests and are the republicans and democrats, both of them are utterly useless the democrats are just wimps who won't stand up for justice and equality.

all politicians are wothless bastards... I haven't seen a politician I liked in my lifetime...

Yet it still took another 18 minutes after the time you just said. I know what your saying, the chain of command, shock, panic but i'm still saying when peoples lives are at risk they should have responded quicker.

it's something that had never happened before... they didn't really know what they were doing untill the planes were just about to hit the buildings... and by then, it was too late

Oh no no, I'm not arguing with you, I'm simply making a point that our external defense network is quite possibly the strongest in the world, but an attack from our own passenger aircraft is... unsettling, and there was nothing in the doctrine of US forces to deal with it.

Personally, I don't think shooting the plane out of the sky was the answer, but it still took an awful long time to do anything.

ah, ok, I just wasn't sure if you misunderstood what I said...

Personally, I don't think shooting the plane out of the sky was the answer, but it still took an awful long time to do anything.

it was just... something that never happened before... passenger planes fly by all the time... it's like if every day you went outside and played basketball... and then one day somebody shoved some explosives in the basketball... you'd never see it coming right? and I know it's a strange example, but I'm really tired right now :)
