The Rar file comes up as a word document and i can't extract it. PLEASE HELP this mod is awesome and i really want to play the update.

Do you have Winrar? If not, make sure you have either it or another program that can extract .rar files (Winrar is free, Google it, it says it's only a 40 day trial, but nothing happens if you use it for more than 40 days).

If we download this mod, will we be able to switch from the mod to ROTWK?

Or if we download this we wont be able to plaY ROTWK anymore.

Yes, you can still play the vanilla (means unmodded in case you don't know) game, as well as any other mods, as long as you install it correctly.

By the way, this is off topic, but does anyone know how to have the person's name a time of post in the quotes when you quote someone?

I've created another topic for installation issues. I'm going to leave all posts here but if you have problems installing, post them in that topic. This is really one of the easiest installs for a mod, so we should be able to help you with any problems. I'll be deleting any more posts that reference install problems that are not in the correct place.

This is for your benefit so everyone can see what problems people are having with installing the mod and maybe be able to see questions already answered. It also will help me to help each person in one place instead of going to more than 1 thread.

As for the Audio/video - no you will not have to do that again. It will work with files already done or downloaded (as mentioned in the txt files):

Agreed that this is easy. I wanted to try to put in some where else but it didn't work so I just put in C:\ though but very nice job Well I can try to help since I installed in my I:\ so I know what to do.

I had no time to send in a reply yesterday. But now when i have played the mod for some hours all i can say is that i love it. My 2 favorites are mordor and arnor (of course).

Probaly the best mod i have downloaded for a game.

10/10 from sweden!!!!!

not the nonlinear, but the good campaign in the single player menu has moria, and the evil one has an unfinished isenguard. theyre awesome to play on hard!

How do you extract files?

It wont let me extract anything?

Do you have winrar installed? You need it to extract (unpack) an RAR archive file, which is the form that the mod is downloaded in. Do a quick search for it on google.

The compression is very good, the size of the mod in rar is about 20 mb less than zip.

This is a great mod. i love all the additions to Arnor and Rohan. Super great! This might not be the place to ask, sorry for that, but i get a gamedat error after awhile playing Arnor in War of the Ring mode. Any suggestions?

The issue that I know exists for WotR - any new heroes that have been added and they are an army leader, if they lose an auto-resolve this will result in a game.dat error the next time you select you army or the next time you do battle with them.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a place that it is hard-coded for army leaders.

There is one problem though. When i play with arnor in a skrimish match i get a bunch of game datas, but when i play with any other faction i dont.

That's odd, I haven't had a game.dat error with arnor at all in this beta in skirmish mode. Maybe check you installed everything correctly.

Its impossible to say why without knowing more circumstances, ie has this happened with several factions, what did you do just before the error occured...
