And IIRC it's an FPS but turns into a third-person shooter for the archer segments.

Battlefront II was a horrible abomination lore-wise. Here's to hoping they learned something from that travesty.
Are you referring to the fact that:
The 501st clone troopers were born around 39 BBY with accelerated growth (x2). I think in the cutscenes it is mentioned that they are the same troopers from Geonosis, which means by Hoth (3 ABY) they would be 84 physical years old.

Though a small number of clones managed to stop the accelerated aging, and possibly even generally aging.

And I think nertea actually meant that the 501st was on mygeeto, felucia, and all those planets simultaneously...which could never have happened. And the empire v CIS battles and stuff like that never happened.

In the expanded universe, they do. The Empire vs CIS battles happen post-clone wars, not at the end of it.And the empire v CIS battles and stuff like that never happened.

Is says there will also be a hero deathmatch mode, where everyone gets to be a hero.
Much like that tatooine conquest on bf2.
Tatooine assault, not conquest.
Theres currently an active community of 1300 players, and a good half of them play hero assault modes daily, with at least 16 dedicated servers devoted to variants of rules with the mode. Free for all no force, force on teams combat, duelling servers, and more.
I'm one of those 1300 active hero assault players, and my total time on swbf2 is over 2200 hours.
If these statistics mean anything to you guys, it should indicate that Lord of the Rings Conquest will have a fairly large population devoted to playing just hero deathmatch. =)

The game mentions that the Geonosian you kill in the level re-activated a droid factory. Can you give an example? I'm fairly certain the CIS was shut down by anakin, which was the end of the clone wars There may have been some uses of droid starfighters/battle droids, but nothing like what battlefront portrayed.
Shelob Riding Ringwraith? Its been a long time since you have been here. Welcome back
