About time someone asked that question! In singleplayer mode, you won't have much control in opening and closing the gate as there won't be a need when you're in the middle of the battle. In multiplayer mode however, you have much more freedom and you will be able to open/close the gate anytime. I have created a special animation for the opening/closing of the repaired gate with all the wooden pieces so that they kind of fold up and get pushed to the side. It looks pretty nice actually. :)

Nope, no need in the middle... but does "Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red dawn... Forth Eorlingas!" say anything to you?
I'd bet it does, just making sure you can open it when you'll be able to charge out with Theoden and co... you can do that, can't you? :)

edit: okay, I admit... I was rushing the question... The gate is smashed when that happens  :good:

Bingo! ;)

when peasants become drafted with swords and shields, can they still brace the gate?

Another good question! I'm going to be re-doing the peasant/farmers (again :p) but they will be able to brace the gate when drafted. Essentially, when they go to brace the gate, their sword and shields are hidden.

Think I've asked the last question about the mod...
now, I just want it

edit: can't imagine how cool it would've been if you only had Wordbuilder to work with ;)

Huh? :xd: What do you mean?

You know... no coding, not even map.ini things allowed... just plain Worldbuilder and it's scripts... then the map would've been cool
Unlike yours, where you make it a mod, and not a map... coward!

Meaning, the map wouldn't have been nearly as cool if you wouldn't have used coding and the likes! :p

You confuse me Lauri. ;) If I just relied on WB, than I wouldn't have been able to do much with Helm's Deep at all. No new models, no custom skins, no audio, etc. Unless you are joking, which me thinks you are.

Of course I'm joking!

If you only had Worldbuilder, the map couldn't have been as cool as you've made it (atleast look) right now ;)

Yes. The Postern Gate area still needs some work but that will be the path they will be taking. I'm not doing the whole jumping part because it would be hard to animate properly and would take a lot of time for something so minor.
