One trailer would be too short I'm afraid. But maybe 6 trailers would be too much :shiftee:.

I disagree, and agree... :shiftee:
One trailer should be used as a "SEE Trailer", as you don't really show off 4-5 trailers for the same movie :p
6 Trailers would be way to much too, yeah, but... could be used for in-game footage, like they used to show of BFME1 before it got out... ah, loved those days...

I've changed it to one good faction vs one evil faction, so that makes:

- Gondor vs Mordor
- Isengard vs Rohan
- Dwarves + Elves vs Goblins
- Rhun vs ? (possibly Gondor again, without showing the latter extensively)

Gondor - Mordor (Minas Tirith)
Isengard - Rohan (Helm's Deep)
Elves - Goblins (Lothlorien borders, elven ambush)
Dwarves - Rhun (Siege of Dale and Erebor)

edit: forgot to say, but eh... obviously, those above are ideas.. :shiftee:

You don't have to make the lines so fine, though. Haradrim and some Easterlings should be against Gondor, too, though that's a lot for one.

Also, I want to stress this out:

- Film-based accuracy, combined with a graphical overhaul

- Many new units, heroes and maps

- The new AI

- The RJ camera system

- The added realism (siege, powers, build times, ...)

These are the basis features that should be shown for every faction. Also, two questions for you Dre@mer:

- I assume you know a lot about SEE (aka you've played it, right?)

- What are your ingame settings (without lag)?

- I haven't played SEE yet - I play BFME very rarely (just to test my maps or doing some stuff for RJ RotWK mod).

- I play on Ultra High, framerate sometimes drops. It's not important for the trailer as there are ways to record every scene at 30FPS

Then maybe try the mod a few times, so you learn to know the basic features =).

Okay, I've been looking for a full version of something like game cam in order to record the ingame sequences with audio and without one of those pesky banners on-screen, but I just can't find one. So! MS, you may have to grab the in-game sequences yourself (which sounds like the best idea anyways, seeing as how your able to play with the best graphics), and then hand them off to me to put into one movie form. So, I think I can just be the "trailer editor" for this project.

Can't you use Fraps or something similar? Which application does Dre@mer use?

I use Fraps (full version). You can only record 30 sec + banner with unregistered version, though. If nothing else, you can still use Avi capture tool in wordbuilder...

As Dreamer said, fraps didn't do anything for me either. Is there something wrong with me just being the editor? Do you not have anything like fraps or game cam M.S.?

I'm gonna slap myself for this, but no :p . I didn't know the free version of Fraps was so limited... But for now, we'll concentrate on the part Dre@mer is supposed to make. In the meanwhile, I'll look for a solution.

Just use the ingame recorder, it is actually brilliant, although the process is slow, the results are brilliant, plus you can use Audacity to capture the sound and then just extract Audio files from the game and layer them with the video after, it's much better than using a screen capture software because individual frames are captured meaning that after compiling you have a full quality video with no frames dropped.

I think there is some box you can check that records you game. Does it save replays as standard vids?

1: showcase all new features and units

2: make it EPIC!

Ok, now I don't really understand what you're talking about Ed: do you mean saving a skirmish as a replay or is there another ingame recorder (in the WB for example?) I suppose you mean the former? Aren't the replays only viewable ingame, or are they stored in a standard video format?

Well if you're playing in a skirmish map against a human player it records it automatically I think. But if you are scripting certain things to happen in map like a fight scene then you go into the camera scripts in worldbuilder then click on mode and then on AVI toggle and then it records the ingame footage by taking a picture of every frame and saving it to your BFME2 screenshots folder, I use it when I make vids. The only thing is, because it takes a picture of every frames it takes a while to capture the footage, after which you will have a collection of bitmaps in your BFME2 screenshot folder, after this step you need to get those bitmaps into an AVI file, there are several Bitmap-Avi converters online but once you have it converted you get a full resolution lossless video (depending on export settings). If you need me to run through it with you just PM me.

you got it, sound comes in later... then you restart the scripted scenario and record the sounds you want, using low settings helps in maintaining the time frame on this part, due to the fact you don't need to capture anything visual, might be a good idea when capturing the sound to switch off the music in the main options window also (if you're going to add a new track later) - although this all sounds very awkward, the result will be worth it in the end.
