-mod NameOfFile.BIG
since you are using the Big file then it should look something like it. Just put the name of your BIG file like it is on the shortcut. By the way. there is a space between the regular target and the -mod command.

add the end of your shorcut, there should be something like this:
-mod NameOfFile.BIG
since you are using the Big file then it should look something like it. Just put the name of your BIG file like it is on the shortcut. By the way. there is a space between the regular target and the -mod command.
what you said is already there
here is a picture of the file info..
my problem at the moment is that the path/where the program will start files from doesnt work.. i should change it
"You need to edit the shortcut to make the directory of ROTWK be the correct one for your pc"
something ridder geel sent to me in a pm with the big file, hope its okay i share the quote..?
my last (hopefully) question, is if any of you got a better idea than my own how to get the path...

So you just need to change that to where it is installed on your computer
And yes as The wicked one said, The big file should be in:
C:/Documents and Settings/User/Application Data/My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files/

this is the start in..
"C:\Users\Espen\AppData\Roaming\My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files
if i change the start in to this the exact same errror message pops up
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king"
the big file is in: the picture

And where it says -mod in the shortcut you must change it to this:
-Mod "C:\MyHeroMiniMod.big"
This should work, so the shortcut should look like this:
Target:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\MyHeroMiniMod.big"
Start in:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king"

Well now you should be able to edit the CAH things that are in that BIG file and see if it works ingame
hmm, i would hope so, but my first job should (frustraiting enough?) be, to be able to launch the game...

A lil 'recheck':
Did you put the BIG file in C:\?
----Shortcut-----
Did you make the Target:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\MyHeroMiniMod.big"
Did you make the Start in:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king"
