Geez, maybe I should have Tyrendos and a paladin or two join Astariel's disciples for the purposes of expendables... :xcahik_: I'm beginning to like that idea, in fact...

I was thinking maybe they'd be part of the reformed Paladins, turned back to the light through Astariel's shining influence. But yeah, an ex-Paladin retinue works just as well.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Meh, Astariel can reform the Paladins later with her shining light.

SWG, just to check, the Vyre cannot use magic. It just doesn't work for them. It's fine if you're planning to have Vam'brac disappointed, but just remember: no magic for the Vyre.

And Jimmy: Minotaur are very taciturn creatures. Their first language is not the same as that of the humans and elves, and their short life span combined with a natural predisposition away from academia means that few if any ever bother to gain any real understanding or fluency. See if you can find some of Mike's posts with Rom, his Minotaur, if you want an example.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Yeah, well you can't exactly go out and just 'find' magic anyway. He thinking you just 'find' weapons in trees or under rocks, he's quite naive. So don't worry, Vam'brac won't be getting any magic.

Mike, some minor use of Varashi and Morion occurred in my posts, should be fine. They get about one sentence each. By the way, I like Morion's plan. What say we go with that and break the hell out of that place?

As for the rest of you, join some stories already! Or only one, that's good too. You all know this involves actually posting, so get to it, y'all!

Yeah, no problem Vort. I actually like it when others use my characters a little - lets me know that I'm establishing them well as characters, if nothing else :p

And yes, let's get out of there.

Vort, my characters are heading to Valenti. When they reach there my Journal will cease to be of relevance :p well sort of. I may make small posts occasionally. But i'll join soon.

And i shall fix Sholl's speaking. Is Don's okay for the most?

Jimmy, your characters seem fine, judging by that last post of yours, although I edited Blaise's involvement a little.

SWG, I think you ought to find a guide to use of 'to', 'too' and 'two'. :p In your last post you got all three of them in the wrong places. I've edited it right and changed 'volentere', which I guess was meant to be 'volunteer'. That portrayal of Vam'brac seems a far cry from your other posts about him, but I guess that's what three years of learning to live in the human world will do for you.

I might be able to post tonight, but equally might not. If not, then tomorrow.

Yeah. Although playing an innocent/naive vyre would be fun, considering he had three years to learn from i thought that would have changed by then. And sorry if my post have spelling/grammatical errors like that. I'm rushing to squeeze them out so i don't have much time to go over them. Stupid assignments :(

Vort, first of all, great post in the 3rd chapter.
Yet, I have to admit that I am confused: Was it Varin or Zhar that created those illusions?
If the above post offended you in any way,
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

Varin. He is the illusionist, after all. The actual Zhar/Varin fight scene is coming up next. By the way, I'm now going to watch The Illusionist. Should be fun. :)

Well, this is why I was originally not planning to start until now, because I knew the last few days would afford me very little opportunity to post. But never fear, dear chums! I am returning to the world of cyber-literature and will post soon, after I've had breakfast and maybe got dressed. Oh, also watched some more football. World Cup times ahoy!

I take it we're on the football here? If so, Mike, that was the most boring match of the World Cup so far. Even Algeria-Slovenia was more exciting.

Hey Jim, I just edited your post in the Heading East thread.

The majority of it was good: I only have a couple of notes about it.

- Being the first person to post in a conversation such as telling everyone about your history, and saying that your character waited until everyone else was done... it makes for weird anachronistic reading. If you're the first person to post in the conversation, be the first person to speak up.

- Mike's character, Varashi, never told her full story. From what I infer, she wasn't actually an attacker; she was technically on the side of the battle that was laying siege to the Maughold, but she was killing those in the attacking forces who weren't actually followers of the light. Which in an odd way makes her a defender. I think that's right anyhow.

Other than that man, you're a pretty good poster and I'm glad to have you onboard

Yeah, Varashi was serving as a sort of mediator in the Battle of the Maughold - she was doing her best to minimize the rape and pillage of non-Paladins through force while trying to find another Paladin to talk to and sort things out. She'd been inside the Maughold (under cover, for who would expect a Drow Paladin?) for a while, so was pretty far out of communication with the rest of the Palatinate.

As for her father... he was definitely an attacker, which caused some friction between them until they Reformed the Order of the Stricken Hammer. But that's another story.

The point of the thing with her there was he know she's a paladin and knows of the battle, yet doesn't exactly know what she was doing. So it makes him just a little wary of her  but thanks :p. Makes sense too :shiftee2:.
