SWG, I've posted in our thread. Don't know where Mike is but he'll show up again soon enough. Jimmy, Copa, Mike, things are kicking off in our thread now. Set to, eh?
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Argh, I'd love to contribute, but I'm leaving for North Carolina tomorrow and won't be back until late Sunday evening. I should be in good posting habits Monday.. sorry for the inconvenience.

mikEDIT: Vort, feel free to godmod Morion and Varashi as needed to move the story along. Don't wait for me - I'll catch up :D

Athos, my last post in your thread is, I believe, the speechiest thing I have ever written. I hope it's as good as it sounded in my head while I was writing it.

Impressive... most impressive.

I'll have to take some time to think up a suitable rebuttal to that...

Man, I just read my post again to see if it was actually any good, and holy crap! I'm awesome! :p As monologues go, I'm extremely happy with that. Anyway, I'm going to bed now. Long day tomorrow. And today, for that matter. Any of you guys ever carried 180 litres of compost around, spent three hours digging in a garden that's as much rock as soil and then gone for an intensive martial arts fitness training session? Neither had I. I don't recommend it.

This is becoming the speechiest thread that I've ever participated in.

I hope that it's not considered lazy of me to cut Ouranos' speech short and dump the Speaking Stick on Tyr again. But I justified it. I think. ;)

Boy did i pick the wrong topic to RP in. Its just not active enough around here for these parallel storyline topics. Can we go and combine the two storylines so that characters from the Murder and Misadventure thread meet up with the group in the Heading East thread?

I was intending to cross paths at some point, but I was also expecting more people to get involved. I got a few people across Revora who said they'd be interested, but then just never showed up, and MirkwoodArcher was trying to get people from other websites, but I don't know how that's panning out. Anyway, this would work fine if the people who are part of it would actually post in the storylines.

I've been lazy. I'll try to get a post up soon.

I'll probably put what I've got planned in a separate topic because I've got a fair amount of background material that I want to cover. My character will meet up with your people in Mirmida.

Yes, but since you and mike are not it would be better to start angling towards joining the two groups right away rather than some time down the track. As i said, we're just not getting enough activity for the duel storylines to work well.

Heyyy, Vort! I've posted again, and in doing so, also thought a bit about the conversation between Rindar and Tyr in the inn. I was thinking that Tyr, who is obviously a charismatic speaker from what you've written of him, talking Rindar into coming with him by rekindling some of his fire for revenge. I'm not sure how he'd do that, but I rather like the idea. If you want to figure that out more in-depth, shoot me a PM. Otherwise we can just wing it. :crazed:

Hey, I think it would be a good idea (help with new users wanting to join and just generally keep track of whats happening) if we had a topic that kept a summary of whats happened/happening in the RP topics, and other general information.

eg.
Murder and Misadventure:
Characters taking part:
-Vam'brac (Some_weirdGuy) Vyre
-Naian (Vortigern) Human
-Morion (Mike) Human

Storyline developments:
- Naian/Morion were captured
- forced into arena duels
- escaped the arena (with Vam'brac)
- heading to Shadowfang keep
- captured by Deathknelves

etc.

What do you guys think? I mean, one of the hardest things for new users is trying to work out whats going on, if we had it in one easy topic it would encourage more people to come in and give it a try, rather than taking on look at the topics and then running away cause its to complicated.
However it does mean we would have to keep it up to date in the original post, as having it scattered throughout a thread isn't a good idea.

I concur! Something that I'd had planned for ItFoD was to add in events from the RP into a typed-up version of the LotR War of the Ring calendar, corresponding with dates 'n such. This would be great.

Actually, I agree. I have now done this, with links and everything. I've locked the topic so nobody feels tempted to spam it up. If you think I've missed out anything important, say so in here and I will modify the thread.

Only helps because otherwise they'd probably kill him.

I had it in my head that it was more noble than that. He helped them because they were captured unlawfully and forced into the arena, unlike the old system where only criminals and people who entered by choice were in the arena. Vam'brac isn't evil/bad, i had envisioned him as fairly honorable.
