I've recently caught yellow fever.

The things I've seen since then shall warp my fragile mind forever.
Hostile is a cunt.

Thought I'd have that here to save time.

I vent that I've been getting up for work at 7 am every day for the last week straight. I haven't gotten more then 6 hours of sleep per night in over a week (and I love my sleep)

Plus, tomorrow is my day off. Guess what I'm doing? Getting up at 7 am for work.

I have fallen ill. :p I have also not slept well in over a week, and woke up at least three times over the course of last night alone. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to sleep better without resorting to prescriptions of things?

N.B. Exercising and tiring myself out didn't help.

Try doing absolutely nothing for about 10-15 mins before you go to bed. Meditating and/or deliberately avoiding things that stimulate your brain might help you sleep quicker. Or sometimes a hot shower can help relax all your muscles if you find you can't lie still, though it might tend to wake you up a bit. You could try listening to music, though obviously something more mellow.

Of course, there are lots of common sense type things like: making sure your room is dark, cool and ventilated, having a drink there if you get thirsty, not eating within 2-3 hours before bed, having a comfortable bed...

A side note: I love my sleep, but studying architecture and 8 hours sleep are basically exclusive :p

Those all sound like at least half-decent suggestions. I'll mix and match to my preference, see what works.

Something else: I'm not sure where to put this, it's less of a vent and more of a 'what the fuck, I can't believe this is true' thing, but regardless: http://www.bbc.co.uk...-herts-11515288. I went to school with this guy, knew him all through his formative years. Messed up shit apparently happens everywhere.

I've tried a couple of times, and it never works. I just start to think about the colour of the fence, then think how I would say that to someone, even though I'm thinking it, and I hear my own voice in my head while saying it, yet there's no logical point in this very post, even though there should be I think.

Point is, my mind goes on a scavanger thinking hunt when I go to sleep :p

Right, after a while you get pissed at yourself, thinking. "Why did I count so many damn sheep. Valuable time I could have spent sleeping..."

I vent that I've been getting up for work at 7 am every day for the last week straight.

I've been getting up at 0630hrs for years. What are you complaining about? Other people have it even worse.
I get up at 0630, get home from sixth form at 1700 and have essays/extra reading thereafter; I often only finish all my work after 2200.

I hate it when you put images on a webpage and no matter how many times you check the size they still come out real big, only to find out there was height and width set much larger than the image...

Any time. On a more serious note, try reading the dictionary or something else thoroughly boring. Don't let yourself put it down until you're legitimately about to fall asleep.

I vent that there's a tutorial on how to make an EA style radius cursor on the main site, but it seems impossible to include it in your mod.
Either that, or no one knows how to do it anymore...
