interestingly enough, for mordor, sauron will be the ring hero. they will bring the ring back to the fortress just like before, and the eye of sauron will become sauron.
the new ring system will not be optional however.

Actually, that's wrong, in a way. All you have to do is shut the ring heroes off.

well yes, but i believe he meant that their might be an option to choose between the new system and the old one. in which case i am correct.

- The whole ring power thing should be optional. It's way out of canon.

The ring gives power to each according to their stature.

Canon.

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

Just make them better vs normal attacks like arrows and they'll be perfect.

My original thought was that, with the exception of major heroes like Saruman and Sauron who'd claim the Ring for themselves whatever happened was their faction to come into possession of the Ring and use it for devastating effect, everyone else would wield the Ring for free gaining a great armor and attack boost, and doing damage in a large splash area a little like the EA Galadriel. And for balance, Mordor and Isengard have worse Ring Finder heroes (see my post in the Hobbits topic) with a shorter sight radius. To prevent early game Ring Hero pwnage, once capturing the Ring you bring it to the fortress, where it can be claimed by any of your heroes (or in the case of Isengard or Mordor, Saruman or the Eye of Sauron) after a large timer has elapsed.
