added in a google ad, I kept it small though it's hardly noticeable. is there like a quota, do we need several or is one google ad enough?

I'm using Firefox without a single problem ;)
BTW: I just tried IE (7) at the link and I had the same problem: I think the site is somehow not compatible with the browser or the browser cannot play the song :rolleyes:

Maybe you should try making an alternate version of the site, without any fancy stuff. Just for people (like me) who only have IE, that is. You could make the first page present an option to the user, allowing them to select either version of the site. That way you don't have to wreck your current site just to appease IE users.
