Putting words into Apollo's mouth

So when will we see Robot Storm: The Soundtrack?
I bet Ministry is going to be one of the artists among them? (I wish)
That would be superb if such a Soundtrack gets released. More music for my Robot Storm playlist.
Hmm, I'm guessing that would mean Apollo would not use existing soundtracks/other music resources for the later music pack release.funny you should ask, but no band music i've only used it in promo sense, like hey check this band out while show off mod but youtube is ghey more lately...
as for soundtrack...we've actually tried get some talented composers but so far, poor results.
If you feel you cannot put your future videos on youtube (due to music copyright issues) then simply resort to another video hosting website.
Well, i can, just have to not mention artist in description or youtube hits it and when i mentioned about composers, didn't mean bands unless you guys want me do compilation of some bands music in spirit of RS..of course any vocalized music i wont use in actual mod, if promo vids give that impression, sorry
In any case, the music you have ingame is awesome! This soundtrack idea was meant as something little extra.

In any case, if i did such un-official RS soundtrack of band music... it would be rapidshare etc hosted as frankly its wayyy too illegally dangerous to keep anywhere else... but i guess i can also put out my fav bands list sometime.
Oh alex, the tracks in question i may have lost since (will see archives later) besides the 2.0 music pack keeps evolving, no bets on what the final will be.

Are you talking about the ingame music of version 2.0? If so, why don't you get that music from the same place you found them, why call it lost?!

the mp3s were for example sense... (osi=rock, nex=electronica) not necessarily definite addition nor is all what plays in my promos... I have NOT formed the final music pack so music gets tried and thrown out for the promo videos like used up socks.
sorry but try not to read in or assume everything i show/give is definite or your frustration may know no bounds as i keep changing lots until release.

umm..when places are various, one cant remember them all.

Cool! Osiris and Nexus have genres I can look forward to in future releases of music packs! Nice choices Apollo, I feel rock and electro suits Osiris and Nexus respectively well, after watching the promo videos you post here and learning from them shortly afterward in effect.
On a side note, what specific genres do you believe suit the Allied Legion and Freedom League?
by all means enjoy and listen the music, thats what music is for but i havent totally discarded these as i'm not in the stage to do final decisions but some wont make it, in any case, I do think you need to find own style you wanna portray in mod even music wise.
Ah yes, I have found my own style for my custom Robot Storm playlist. It's got a ton of electro and a fair share of rock, as well as all the music from Emperor: Battle for Dune (even the real Unsuspected Attack not in the actual game!).

I have probably most/all of RS musics extracted from mixes. If this is incomplete I'll up it. You won't get any of the new music though. Just a point of note - the music is now faction-specific.
Allied Legion will be all military-band style.
Freedom League will be naturally slightly influenced by arabian styles.
NEXUS would be more electronica style.
OSI will be thrashy.
At least, that is vibe I got

What Ash just said but still..the genre is a rough guide for what the majority of theirs consist of while there can be usual rock & electro genres blends and such.
As for Legion, they were idealized to have a electronica ambient background with patriotic military themes on top with possibly some orchestra, and as for FL...they are probably the more common military type with ethnic feel that we still seek the best style for that doesnt sound so boringly usual or be a cliche.
Musics wise..the said two factions present more challenge as you'd want their humanity to be heard in tracks instead of mindless cruelty and coldly slaughtering machine on the hands of the other two.

people who like freeddom music might like AL Side MOre.
so there would be one too many conflictions with pepoles music choices in that case.
your better off Somehow Separating the music into sections. but keep them all together.

I use the RS wallpaper that Gamemate made.I'm going to use your avvie as the windows media player CD Cover picture when I organise the songs, Apollo.
It will still be possible to edit the RS audiomd.ini to add your own songs however you like just like in previous versions. All you'd have to do was copypaste the AL music names into the FL section.noooooo. if you did music like that. there would be too many conflictions.

Emperor: Battle for Dune was split up this way, and several other games use a similar setup, but this will be easy to circumvent for your enjoyment
