Dwarven bows?

I prefer crossbows mainly because they are powerful, and the dwarfs are about power. Another thing for the dwarfs. Instead of dwarves, it should be dwarfs. (With an 'f', that's how they are supposed to be written)
To the professor, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien.

Incorrect. In LotR, it is clearly written 'Dwarves'. In other literature (i.e., Narnia), it is written as 'Dwarfs', but in the LotR canon, it is 'Dwarves.'Another thing for the dwarfs. Instead of dwarves, it should be dwarfs. (With an 'f', that's how they are supposed to be written)

Tolkien was ridiculed because of this, but he thought it sounded better.Incorrect. In LotR, it is clearly written 'Dwarves'. In other literature (i.e., Narnia), it is written as 'Dwarfs', but in the LotR canon, it is 'Dwarves.'
I want to see it in action. What anims does it use?

That's very nicely done. I think the tunics should be brown instead of blue though. Are the models rigged and animated?
Yes, rigged by TheDeadPlayer (and thus animated).
Give that dwarf some sleeves
My plan is to have leather jackets without sleeves and chainmail underneath, which would cover the arms!

Now what would be realistic, is if the range units could run out of arrows or whatever they use ,and that you could train lik amunition wagons to resupply them. And if they arn't supplied, they have to go automatic melee mode. just and idea those dwarf archers look freaking great btw!
That would be interesting. Somewhat of a drag for players, but realistic. After all, you have to run out of arows sometime (unlike Legolas's arrows in the movie ).

I found it interesting that the book specifically mentions when legolas is down to one arrow at helms deep.
Yes, and didn't Legolas mention after the battle of Amon Hen that his arrows were spent? He had to look for undamaged Orc arrows that he could use.

I don't remember.
I thought that he said it at Amon Hen as well, of course I don't have my book in front of me. But now, I have to look it up.

A little to the right, actually, sitting on the hutch.

Sadly, I do have my book in front of me.
A little to the right, actually, sitting on the hutch.
Luckily, I didn't have to go get my book because I used Tolkien Gateway:
When ambushed on Amon Hen, Legolas shot many orcs until his arrows ran out, then used his knife.
There. The answer to the great question.

Lol yea, and coding AI for that would be like a walk in the park...

I wouldn't expect TG to say that he ran out of arrows.

Hehe... yeah, I can imagine.
I wouldn't expect TG to say that he ran out of arrows.
Well, it did. Lucky me that I didn't have to get my book.
Even if that idea for the running out of arrows wouldn't work, the idea itself is still cool.

Yeah. Requires too much micro, though. Maybe more a more micro-central game or mod, with no hordes and very low units cap, but the BFME engine isn't really fit for that.
Thinking about it, it seems that it would get kind of annoying too. Sometimes it is just more fun to play a game and have all the weapons nver run out of "ammo." Of course, there are some who love to play games that are very realistic...
