Just read through all the change logs and it sounds amazing.
Greater emphasize on Supply Depots, execution taxes are getting reduced, lesser unit spam and tons of nice minor changes...

Looking forward for this version.

After the first Alpha test (which we have done a few months ago), the new economy system is busted and 008 would revert to old eco.

Which mechanics of the economy system were reverted?

There was the double build time combined with half supply gathering, the supply gathering was later reverted to its old state, thus encouraging more diverse unit compositions.
Supply Depots have 10 times more supply, secondary income is limited, thus discouraging turtling.
Supply Center/Truck cost increased, thus discourage random expanding.

1. This is not Shockwave mod. In 008, AFG already needs both WF and AF to be effective. Adding one more structure is a burden to the player, considering that Helicopter in Contra is strictly support role.
2. I'm not sure such thing can be coded. Even if it is, it will be up to Creator.
3. I think AFG Lev Pad is already smaller than China or other USA.
4. AC130 and AC150 (buildable one) are REMOVED in 008 because they're rarely used.

Removing Ac150?? oww men, please not do that

In 8x8, i always play as AFG, and become support Rule. One thing i love AFG because AC150 can assist other player as defender of their base or support gunner when attacking. Send 10 AC150 and you got yourself terror in the sky.

Beside "not rarely used", what reason Contra team remove AC150?? For me, thats the true power of AFG.

I do like that AC150 too. It was removed because there is a little change to use it effectively in a contesting match. It is not very good at offensive (enemy AA would take it down in short time) and defensively its use is also limited (enemy would build lots of AA when attacking AFG base). It might be good supporting allies as you said but there are also other options as well. I think that's why Creator decided to remove it.

I agree, i liked it. You could have 3 of them an quickly demolish an enemy base if they had no AA. It was great for eliminationg the noobs who had no AA :) combined with the paradrop planes and chimeras against

It seems that Creator is more concerned with veterans. Anyway, I tried to persuade him not to remove it back then but I doubt he would bring it back.

I didnt use it much, but it was a nice unit indeed. I dont think it is necessary to remove it, but maybe there is some technical boundary (unit cap?) that requires its removal to make more space for other units.

You shouldn't add/keep units just for the sake of adding/keeping units; from a certain point on all new units will be either redundant or make previous useful units redundant. I've already played a few commercial games and mods that destroyed themselves due to the misconception that more stuff equals more diversity and more awesomeness.

You two are basically saying here that AC-150 Vulture was a flawed designed unit; powerful in a match between newbies, next to useless against competent players. A unit should have similar usefulness in all skill ranks.

It does. You can eliminate AA with other planes or ground forces, then send the AC150s in to obliterate the rest.

That's not really true, since your opponent should be able to rebuild AA quite easily. In addition since you are AFG, they probably have a large amount of AA, which would take a LOT of commitment to kill without just sending in a few bombers to just eliminate the area.

I think they are small enough. The mod's goal is not realism.

guys .. HI ALL .. I THINK ITS NOT FAIR ( GOOD) ABOUT AURORA. !!!
i didnt checked the change log about it but i think its terrible about aurora..
WHEN I play against USA and i HAVE 2735260$ I CANT STOP AURORAS FROM DESTROYING MY BASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ITS NOT GOOD ( NOT FAIR. ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOBODY CAN HAVE SW OR .... AGAINST USA BECAUSE OF THAT AURORAs .....................
SO MANY TIMES I HAD ABOUT 500 AA tanks !!!! AND ABOUT 3000000$ !! BUT I NEVER COULD DESTROY THat AURORAS...
MAKE THEM BE ABLE TO ATTACK PLZ .. ITS NEVER FAIR .. THEY can destroy anywhere of our base ... even when your opp is NOOB and u are destroying him .. he can make u loose !!!! U KNOW!?!

If I had 3 millions $ in a game, I would NOT complain about auroras but build at least 100+ warfactories and rushing with the basic tanks :D ...USA got auroras on 5th rank- I suppose if your opponent is on 5th rank, your should be at least on 3rd rank, if you are not a mega noob...You wrote that they could destroy your hackers, therefore I suppose you are playing for a China general- which one? we could give you more some advices...In general, auroras are destroyable when their bombs are dropped and it takes a lot of time to build them again- use it- let them destroy their target, then will be destroyed, use your powers from generals promotion to destroy their base defence or power plants (depends on your opponent) and then rush...or try black lotus "woman secret weapons" :) ..

If you have 3 millions and you cannot beat enemy, I think you should go back to combat school. In a human match, 3 millions cash for one person is VERY RARE. The way to stop the Aurora is to attack and destroy their airfields (which would be very easy if you have 3 millions and attack en masse).

Aurora is not unbalance considering the cost and granting rank. If you play with a good strategy from the beginning, it is very hard for your enemy to field large number of Aurora Bombers.
