Why does alcohol not count? It has been proven to be more harmful and cause more deaths per year then some other drugs.

That may be a fact, but it is not my point. I wasn't comparing alcohols effects while drunk/vs sober. I was stating that compared to other drugs alcohol has had a greater history of ill doings.

I think what Kwen is trying to say is that alcohol does more damage than other drugs. I agree with this sentiment. Then again, because of the way most narcotics were instantly made illegal, it's been difficult to do any real studies of the effects, whereas alcoholics are ten-a-penny. As I've said many times before, if marijuana had been around as long as alcohol, it would be legal too.
