Bug: elven camps get destroyed, and fade into the ground but the statues and glowing orbs remain.

I have a screenshot if you would like it.

They probably haven't been assigned to the right team, or aren't in the BASE.

^also can be seen through shroud. Same thing happens to orbs on the Elven outposts.

Lovely work, the new stuff is awesome (i think Glorf's audio worked really well too) :p

Just a couple of things:
The elven statue and stables both use 'S' as a shortcut key. Maybe 'V' for Tribute of the Valar?
Also (really picky one :good:) but perhaps the Elven hero commandset should be in order of value? so...
1.Cirdan 2.Haldir 3.Arwen 4.Legolas 5.Thraduil 6.Elrond 7.Celeborn 8.Glorfindel 9.Galadriel (i think that's right..)

Otherwise, brilliant.

Right now, Haldir, they are in order of location. I think that's the best way to arrange them.

Uhm, was there ever any voicework done for Glorfindel?

We agreed to use the unused Cirdan voices for Glorfindel. I think it turned our pretty well. :p

Also, a suggestion from a topic here. Should we add the mount/dismount ability to the Rohan Royal Guards?

Do you still have the script? I could do some voicework for him if you want: my mic should do the job, and my Elvish pronounciation is (according to Helge Fauskanger's description) pretty spot on. And Glorfy's my favourite character :p!

Wasn't there a problem with the mount/dismount? Something about unmounted units being able to trample I think? If this has been fixed then by all means, try it out :p . It might (might) make them a little overpowering though...

We'll probably have to jack up their price. Maybe limit the hordes.

I'd probably say no, just because Rohan can already summon mounted Royal Guards with Thedoen and Hama. And i think they would be fairly OP. Jacking up the price and limiting their hordes would mean that Rohan wouldn't have a better archer/melee unit until mid-late game :p And even then, there'd only be a few hordes.

Also, i don't know how much we should be chopping and changing the original mod. I think Rohan is pretty well balanced as it is :p

I think Glorf is pretty good, but if people are keen to do some audio, Celeglin and the scout could use some voice too.

First argument: Rohan isn't supposed to rely on good infantry. If you want it, play Gondor or Isen.

Second: I think Cel orginally wanted them to do both, but the coding was limited at the time. Don't quote me on it just yet though.

The voice of Glorf fits, but what he says doesn't. Since when does Glorfindel shout "For Mithlond!" in the middle of a battle, or claims that he fights for the havens? They're good voices, but not perfect for glorf.

Hi Im the guy that suggested Royal guards to be able to mount/dismount and I see some people dont agree with me cuz royalguards would be OP. Well i dont think they would be OP cuz you could alter health, damage, armor stats. Lets say they have same stats as the rohirrim but the only thing that makes the royal guards ELITE would be the abilty to fight on horse back AND dismount and fight on foot, also you could make them more expensive and take more CP instead of limiting the amount of recruitable royal guards, so they wont be OP and still have the mount/dismount abilty and still stay Elite units and dont mess with the balance of the game. :p
Haldir mentioned summoned royal guards of theoden and Hama being enough but these units are for a limited time and dissappear and royal guards rly should get the mount ability because thats what the rohirrim are good at: fighting on horseback and the most elite unit of Rohan not being able to mount doesnt make sense.

edit: If you want to know why I want the royalguards to be able to mount/dismount is because Rohan is my favourite faction and the royal guards my favourite unit. lol

^^Come to think of it, I think we might be steering a little too far from Celeglin's vision if we include this. I mean, Celeglin intended for the mounted Royal Guards to be the most elite of all mounted units, combining high speed, armour, weapon damage and trample damage. If Rob38 does go by what you're saying and takes away all those bonuses (or even alters them a little), and substitutes that with the fact that they can mount/dismount at will, then I just think it's stretching it a little. Don't get me wrong, it is an awesome idea, just maybe not for this mod. :p
And even if Rohan's most elite unit isn't mounted, doesn't really take away anything from the flavour of the faction (at least, in my opinion). Rohan still gets the cheapest, most versatile mounted units with the lowest amount of command points. Don't forget, the Royal Guards (unmounted) were created as a substitute for the loss of the Elven Warriors. And on a side note, it would make Theoden's and Hama's summons a little redundant. :p

The voice of Glorf fits, but what he says doesn't. Since when does Glorfindel shout "For Mithlond!" in the middle of a battle, or claims that he fights for the havens? They're good voices, but not perfect for glorf.

Exactly, this was my initial problem with it.

New voice topic can be found here. :good:

As for the Royal Guards, perhaps we can give them the mount ability at level 4 or so? This would make them mainly an infantry unit but with a mount ability for the higher levels. We can also keep their stats and price the same this way. What does everyone think?

I still think that they should get a small price increase...otherwise, sounds OK :good:.
