I suppose that it does make sense when you consider that the Battle of Five Armies is pretty much the only major event remaining, seeing as Smaug's going to bite it within the first half-hour...
Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.
I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

For once, CinemaSins pretty much nails it.
"...Sauron..."
"My name... is Khan."
Hilarious.

Ohhh, you've got a higher res version here.
Yeah, this really impressed me. Best Hobbit poster so far, I think.

Sort of a lame name for the next one... Maybe just "The Five Armies" would have sounded a bit less winded.

We could always call it that instead... The Battle.

Well... I dunno about that. But it makes me cringe every time I see Jackson's writers try and mimic the style of Tolkien, when it comes to story, dialogue or naming things. They had and have a lot of blanks to fill in for 3 movies worth with this one, small book. I've loved their original character and creature designs, but the bits in between just throw the experiences off for me.

The Song in the film, and then from the novel.
Also, WETA updated their website. It is awesome and full of art.

Now that's really, really good. I prefer that to the official soundtrack version. The vocals are so good, but brief. And the orchestra in the official just wasn't that fun to listen to compared to the vocals. And dare I say it... but this version is more 80s! Good lord... I dared. Well... that synthetic ripple i the background is reminiscent of an 80's suspense track, and it sounds quite wonderful in this.
Also, is there any version of this not on Spotify? The site is a laggy piece of crap for me.
