There'll hopefully be a 2 by 2 intro with Beorn the morning after the Dwarves arrive, complete with wood chopping. Also filmed was a Gandalf-Beorn conversation.
In Mirkwood, we'll see the enchanted stream as above, and also Thorin trying to shoot a white Stag. Also maybe a scene with all the Dwarves in front of Thranduil.
A scene where Bard was hiding the Dwarves while trying to get them to his house was filmed. Also possibly they'll show the party in the Master's house.
There will probably be an Azanulbizar flashback with Thrain's story, and Gandalf's meeting with him in Dol Guldur.
And finally, we should see the Dwarves wandering through Dale before they go searching for the hidden door.
I think that's it.

If you win, you'll get to go to NZ and watch an early BotFA screening with PJ.

Just make sure you get the extras you want. I found that the only way to get all the extras I wanted (3d, blu-ray and appendixes) was to get the one with the statue. =/

Yeah I got the bluray with the appendicies. I don't understand why they feel the need to put 4 copies of the same movie in one case. I don't want the 3D, DVD, bluray, and digital copy. I just want the bluray one. nobody needs that many copies of the same movie.

I wasn't that impressed with Desolation of Smaug, I didn't hate it, but the somewhat dramatic deviation from the book and the Erebor section at the end were grating.

Wish they could've equipped them with something other than second-hand Ithilien Ranger garb, though. Some chainmail perhaps, or include an armored captain...
