People seem to be giving the Linhir map a lot of love and rightly so...but I gotta say, Pinnath Gelin is fantastic! The terrain textures seem to blend perfectly and the detail put into that one little hamlet is just ridiculous. It isn't one of those "sexy" castle maps, but I'd put it near the top for Bfme maps (both EA and user created) I've seen since Bfme1 was released.

Bravo, Fudge! A very worthy addition to this mod team! :thumbsupsmiley:

Good work!!! :thumbsupsmiley:
I very like Linhir maps. The very hard work lot building and naturel.
Return to the king three hero meet navals Corsairs so army of the deads kill all Corsairs.
Corsairs get never in Gondor! :shiftee2:
But aren't not add Corsairs on train harad campe in Mordor why? :omg:
The was @Ghost of Arnor's idea. You must see self http://forums.revora...k/page__st__120
He mean remakes maps Minas Tirith makes more floors to top the was EA's makes two floors EA is suck! :mad2:
I very glad come mods but I think says "release august" please not lie! :crazed:

@Fudge, how much time did you spend on the Linhir map each day? Just wondering :p

And, I agree with Haldir about Fudge having talent. It looks better than EA's maps who are people who were working in the business and had special training for those type of things.
The maps look really good :)

Are you aware of how many maps the guys at EA even made? Linhir took Fudge a month, and a map a month isn't very much if it's your job ;) I've also yet to see any EA maps that are bad. I've seen some maps that are better than EA's maps, but that doesn't mean that EA's mappers are bad, does it?

Fudge did an awesome job on those maps, no questions there. But I don't see why you have to compare him to an EA mapper? Modders do it solely out of passion and can take their time, professional mappers have a deadline, and have to make a huge amount of maps in short time.

And on top of that.
Level of quality isn't determined by the low level employees. It's determined by those in charge.
You know, like the production directors and such.

So even if a mapper wanted to spend more time adding detail, they would be required to move on because - like Lauri said - professional game development moves at a very fast pace.

BFME 1 was probably made in a year. Maybe a year and a half at most. And look how long the best mods with some of the biggest teams take to make.

Thank's guys, @Nick-SoD I spent about 3 to 4 hours a day but I was learning then so things took a little while longer :) Pinnath Gelin was actually the hardest to texture for me as it had to look Fertile and Field like but at the same time work well with my cliff textures but I think I got it right. Actually I love the EA Maps And play on them quite regularly, I love there Texturing :) I also found on my computer the Old Concept Drawings I did on "Paint" for Pinnath Gelin and Edhellond and when you compare them it shows you how much things change in worldbuilder.

judging by the Haldir and his Galadhrm the elven allies spell became a passive power that allows the purchase of Haldir and the Galadhrim as which is cooler then a summon its simmiler to the dark Tower power for Mordor and the Gandalf the White power basically its a requirement for recruiting to make things even more interesting but what can we expect for the Campaign the main thing in BFME1 is the Campaigns for Good and Evil so they will need some touching up in a future update also i love those maps they are worthy of the quality in of the mod :thumbsupsmiley: ps delete previous post my mistake lowsy laptop mouse

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

There was an expanded one? I really don't think there was. We have one with some more tweaks than the current version (I think) but the "grand plan" of rebuilding MT never took off.

We currently have a Minas Tirith map that m@tt did, which has a walkable 3rd level, and stairs up to the catacombs. It will be in the mod's next release.

Rivendell, Khand, Fornost, Dol Guldur and Dol Amroth are all in the mod already, in the currently released version ;). Grey Havens will be part of the new release too, along with around 14 other new maps.

No, the next release is 0.75. It will contain the new maps, and changes to all 5 factions.
