Maybe cause you have 2 scripts that do almost the same thing? I'm not too much into scripting but that was my thought at the first look. (mostly talking about script 3)But might be wrong tho .

You have a good point, at first glance it does look like that lol, Ill change it and see what happens.

EDIT: the script doesnt activate now. so Ill put it back to how it was.

Update on progress:

I have question for you all. Which body of water would you prefer the reflection plane to be on? either the pond or the river?

And an INI question: Id like to bathe the map in a light grey fog, Im aware there is fog settings in the map ini, however what settings would you recommend to achieve that without intruding on the use of the camera angles?

I vote for the pond. But I still recommend a dam where you have the large waterfall, it is the reason why there was a large lake there in the first place.

Good points. I did damn it up with rocks and trees, I still think it would over flow and cascade over the falls. I set the reflection plane at the river height, the pond still gives good reflections though.

Awesome NJM! Here's a quote of the dam from the Fellowship of the Ring, but I am sure I will appreciate your natural dam when I see it.

When they reached the top they saw that they could go no further that way, and the reason for the drying up of the Gate-stream was revealed. ... The Sirannon had been dammed and had filled all the valley.

Well in all fairness not all of EA's maps are bad the majority are good, mostly the BFME 1 maps, there are few questionable ones and there are definately ones that were rushed along. But I do believe some of the maps they did were really just uninspired.

OK fixed the map. Removed the lower river completely, carved it deeper and added lots of rocks. made the dried river bed completely impassable except where the ford used to be. This way the map retains its strategic value.

I like the Idea of the pond and everything looks good but I would suggest a different rock type for the dam as the yellowish type stands out a bit, Maybe the mordor rocks would blend in better?

Personally I Like nearly all of the Ea maps and find that sometimes they even give me inspiration and ideas for other maps.

Ive finished texturing, just need to add the various doo-dads to this side of the river to bring the map to life, then I can make the mini map. And finally put this ingame.

Looking good! I might even use it as my test map, for the feeling of Moria vs. Erebor. :good:
