Stellar release polished and consistent beyond any existing game, solid install sans hiccups--what more is there to ask for? It is reassuring using something you know has had a lot of thought put behind it: That nothing was rushed just for the sake of time, or that the attitude of "it sort of looks Star Wars-ish so that will suffice" was taken.

I commend the entire Phoenix Rising team for their dedication and perseverance.

That's because these guys did it out of love for the game and source material, not the love of money, and I respect the bajeezus out of them for it!

Congrats on a terrific product guys! You all deserve a trip to Hawaii or something, or you could always come up to B.C. in the summer, it's really nice here!

Oh, I haven't got around to building these ships yet, but in v1.1 there was a mini-patch to limit dreadnoughts (the Executor, Praetor, MC120) and I was wondering if you've implemented that into v1.2.

If you mean in skirmish, their cost limits them rather effectively. If you mean galactic conquest, the same applies, really.

Have you checked those folders for EaW?

Speaking of dreadnaught limits, the AI will no longer be able to cheat by spawning ships into existence when it's losing.

It's in the installation folder. You can also access it from the start menu folder.

Downloading now. It's been a while since I've downloaded anything for EAW. Are there instructions on how to install the mod packaged with it? Also, I'm operating out of a 3-year old laptop, so which GC's would be ok to play without lagging my system?

Firstly, it's an installer that should work automatically. Secondly, minimum recommended specs are a 2.2GHz dual core CPU (though dual core is not necessary). I suggest Core Worlds for the most lag-free experience. Operation Skyhook is the historical GC you will want to try.

Just curious, in GC when selecting a campaign GFFA says it has 100 planets and I think it was Outer Rim says 100 planets too, dosn't GFFA have all the planets?

So far I've been extremely impressed with this game! This is how EAW should have been to begin with! Again great job guys!

I'd like to come back from the dead just to say that Steam users looking to fix EaW loading should make sure to manually type in the mod path in the launch options. It seems to be totally random, but Steam sometimes doesn't take kindly to copy-pasting in that field.

Congratulations on the release, by the way. I'm looking forward to reinstalling EaW and giving it a try.

cromy, if it's on Easy, the galactic AI is supposed to give you a few days advance where it does nothing.

Sounds like you might have files in FoC's XML folder that are interfering with the AI.

Does anybody else have a problem with high shield regeneration rates? I attacked a Golan II defense platform with 5 Venator I's, 3 Dreadnought I's and about 40 fighter squadrons and I couldn't bring the shields of the Golan down, even after attacking it for five minutes.
