Could someone please seed the torrent? There are currently no seeds

You need to turn on DHT or add udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80 to the list of trackers, the original tracker doesn't work.

Now it says I have an illegal instruction.... help D:

When did the error happen? What were you doing before it happened? What version of the game are you using (retail, gold pack)?

@Evilbobthebob Okay. So I downloaded the installer then it came in torrent. And I'm using an Xp so I changed it to EXE. Then it says... hold on. The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0df3 IP:0109 OP63 65 35 33 3a. And other ones after that. This is when I opened the installer.

dude, that link I gave you is not the installer. It is a .torrent file that you have to run using a program like uTorrent.

If there's anyone who likes using Magnet links: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:BBB7634AD1F3D55C3D675FA00E468690CF72CDDD&dn=_pr_v1.2.exe&tr=udp%3a//tracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80

Does it actually crash (CTD, spinning cursor... whatever) or just freeze? If it just freezes, give it time. It can take a while to load.

Make sure you have the right version of everything, that there are no other mods installed, and tell us what version of Windows you're running and if it's 32 or 64 bit.

There's currently a seed-to-peer ratio of ~2 according to uTorrent so I assume that there just aren't enough people trying to download right now to warrant your connection being used. I only have a share ratio of ~0.5 and I've been seeding since I posted about it. The torrent definitely works, by the way- it just doesn't have a proper tracker so it will be a bit shaky.

The mod Republic at War has to modify the vanilla game's base files for its AI to work because the team clearly didn't know that it would work if they put it in a .MEG. I suggest you contact them, PR, and tell them about it.

Yeah I used a free tracker off tpb (http://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce) it works and will work well enough until the ModDB admins clear it, it may even give faster DL speeds to some

I'd just like to comment that it's really nice to see so many users downloading the mod from different parts of the world. uTorrent is showing a lot of interesting flags!

I've encountered an error when it comes to launching PR 1.2. The download and installation went nice and smooth, but when I launch 1.2 the game crashes on the second loading screen with a spinning cursor. My Task Manager indicates that an exception occurred which crashes the game. I found in the FOC folder a txt. file called _Except from the time of the crashes that says:

Exception in thread 1E1C - Main Thread
Exception code EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.

I am running a laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit. It's a clean install of EAW Gold Pack, fully updated and with no other mods. It ran PR 1.1 as of last week perfectly fine, though I had to run 1.1 via the method with the batch file from the main FOC folder.

Check that the mod shortcut is set to run with Administrator privileges and that the Start in field has the correct path to swfoc.exe.

It's not an administrator problem since I can manually run it with those privileges when I right-click on the shortcut.

The Start-in field has "C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption" which I am guessing is incorrect? The target field is "C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\swfoc.exe" MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_v1.2.

Well, is that the location of your swfoc.exe for the Gold Pack? I'm not sure if we'd managed to test the installer for that file path.

The swfoc.exe application is in my main FOC folder, so yes. Based on your comment is it then just a simple matter of changing the .exe to a different folder and re-installing?

:w00t: Well the torrent is now up :w00t:

(it is in the .zip file because the forums do not allow the .torrent extension)
Please SEED everybody, this only works well if we have many seeders!

for the non torrent savvy about: download utorrent and use it to open the file, it may seem scary at first but it is quite easy in reality

Have at it everyone :smile2ap:

Yeah did that.. fuck torrents until the companies that create them can create the fucking shit MALWARE FREE !!!! Now my malware service is going crazy since installing that utorrent shit.

Really stupid damn idea, but i guess you don't care about infecting other players computers, now do you??

I'd like to thank the entire PR team for their hard work and dedication to the community.

This literally turns an average game into a AAA title. What's even more impressive is that you (the dev team) did this out of the kindness of your hearts...or you are just all sadists and thought...what's the hardest thing I could do with this game :).

Either way, I sincerely appreciate all the time and sacrifices that you made to deliver this project to the community. This is a résumé worthy project and you should truely be proud of your accomplishments!

Curt
