This will require alot of commitment from you and your team, I hope you know what you are getting into and have discussed this thoroughly. With good planning it will take over 2 years (perhaps even 4)... it's rather sad to see mods die, and this one has a alot going for it so don't help it to it's grave with overly ambigious plans.

Well said. We have indeed talked this through. Do not worry about it. At the rate I am going with code and modeling and skinning we should have at least 1 beta out for the dunedain mod. If not 1, 2 by the end of the summer.

You weren't kidding then in the message :D.

What's the bandit system? Is that a creep thing?

Correct I was not joking. Haha. I said there would be a surprise and that's what it is. Just wait till you see the actual stuff i did. Then you will truly understand what i said. The bandit system is like an additional faction played by the creeps. Its a bandit camp which will try and raid your fortress etc.. Hard to explain.. You will see.....

That sounds good.

Kind of like in stronghold legends, it gets annoying sometimes though because its a very slow paced game and getting swordsmen takes long and they also really slow... although in bfme2 it would work since units build much much muchhh faster and its no so much a castle building game, so it will work :D.

The bandit system is a map script which is already done (I stll need to test it).
The bandits won't raid your fortress, but they will run around the map and raid farms and units of all players.
We might put some sought of bribing system for them though :p

@RB,
All the mods shall be worked on differently and majority of the team is around.
LotR is close to a release.

The Dunedain mod is flying with progress, I knew that Apollo had it in him :xd:

This will probably be a mod that is never really finished, that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

I guess it's because Rhovanian Alliance never got finished that people have this mindset.

Nertea clearly explained the fail of Rhovanion Alliance.
The workload, but they were planning quite a lot :p

No I didn't mean as in never finished in the way of RA, I meant that you'll probably have to do alot of balancing and bug fixes even on the final version.

I stand corrected,
Final versions.

Besides that once you've (almost) completed the currently planned volumes, you'll probably want to do even more.

But that's all it is, updates.

That said, you do have a large team, but you do have many mods. Do you want to make many mods, a big mod or a good mod?
Don't let it destroy you. Motivation is key.

Having said that, I'm certain that Quenta Silmarillion is just a dream, along with The Hobbit.
Dunedain and Lord of the Rings you should manage. But will they be good mods? What is your purpose with the Lord of the Rings mod? More units, heroes and powers?
