If you download the mod, you can still play other mods, ROTWK will work, and so will BFME2 ;)
As a matter of fact im working on a tool that allows you to easily add your own mods to a launcher to easily launch any mod you have for BFME ;)

Phil is a hundred percent correct here. I understand it's easy to get carried away once you have glimpsed some prospect of success. You feel that the fact you've managed to do some small things without problems means that you'll be able to do many small things for a long time until all of your plans have worked out. That is not how it will play out.

I think it's a huge waste. Finally there is a team consisting of relatively new members, and we veterans get to see how they blow up their motivation on projects that are so rediculously huge we can only shake our heads in disbelief. You're going to do a Silmarillion total conversion, a complete overhaul of the vanilla game, a faction mod, and something about the upcoming Hobbit craze. You have gathered a decent team of NEW people who all want to do DIFFERENT things, so you decide to create some sort of modding company to give an impression of coherence and team support while in reality it's just a whole lot of hot air that can't prevent you guys from burning out in about two weeks. How about coming up with a mod you would all like to work on, at the same time, that might actually get finished?

I've been modding in this community since 2005, you don't have to take my advice, but I assure you that if you don't you will look back in a little while and think shit guys why didn't we listen to smart guys like Matias and Phil, because we have seen this alllll before.

Matias I may not be as old a revora member as you but i agree. I have had a few real life situations which ended in the same way. However it looks like the game plan has changed. We have decided to work on the easier mods first. Dunedain and LOTR.

Reasoning:

Dunedain: Lots of behind the scenes artwork has already been completed and we could have a beta out within a week of hard work.
LOTR: Original FB2G mod and we have completed a lot of things for the goblin faction already and do not want to stop.

Once one of the 2 mods are completed we will then add one of the other mods to the list. QS will probably be next. Then finally The Hobbit and then well we will get to that if we even get that far.

Right now EVERYONE is focused on the Dunedain faction. So, we should finish it up with good quality within a few weeks maybe less depending on the dependency of the work being completed.

We all appreciate the advice that has been givin.

P.S. If you have more than 3-4 hours to mod every day (so not only weekends) perhaps you should rethink how you spend your free time, modding is a hobby not your life/job.

huh, if your going to mod, you better be prepared to work whatever hours to get something done, if it takes 5 minutes to code something in or a couple of hours...

sometimes i spend 5 hours at a strip club does it mean thats my life no, just means I was there enjoying myself and having fun, same applies to modding.

Good, but let me offer you another bit of advice: don't set such estimations. Creating a whole faction takes longer than a few weeks, unless you're going for a clone of something that already exists.

Ok Matias. I am just saying at the rate of our work etc.. sure certain things wont be completed but artwork wise i should say we could get almost all of them done in a week if we worked like 4-8 hours a day. But i dont have that kind of time so i cant do that.

  •  Do not force yourself into modding it's bad for your health.

No, not every day, perhaps some days when it is needed, but not on most days.
