If you eliminate duplicates and foreign languages, I might be able to replicate a sizeable chunk of the library. As for the rest, just... wow:

apparently Carrie Fisher might play Leia again. not gonna lie, i am kinda skeptical, mainly because the last time i saw her, she had crossed over to the, shall we say, Chunky/Wrinkled side of the Force.

Modern CGI can make old actors look young again... something to think about if you're speculating timeline for the new films.
Could this be the end of CW?

I know some of you will hope so .

Yes, TCW has ended. Damage done.

how was Tim Zahn bad for Star Wars?
he gave us Thrawn, Pellaeon, Mara, Talon Karrde, and Garm Bel Iblis he gave a trilogy of books that were well written, and featured a compelling story, followed up with a duology several years later, which while perhaps not as good as the Thrawn Trilogy, was still better than most of the NJO crap

People like to think the sequels will be the Thrawn Trilogy, but that's Sherlock Holmes in space, not mythic space opera. At least that's how I understand the argument. Personally, I think much of the appeal of the TT has to do with the Imperial villain not being an evil, stupid, and/or deformed caricature.

He's ruthless, brilliant and crystallized caricature.
I'd see his story in a TV show though...

If it's hard then it's worth doing.

I meant it as a play on words. His ruby (crystal) red eyes, his blue skin developed in an icy (crystal) environment. Add to this his chiseled jaw and cold, inscrutable, intellect and you've got yourself a caricature. After all, Star Wars is all about caricatures, legends/myths and abstract concepts taking form.

Caricature usually means exaggerated and blown out of proportion. I'd say those physical traits emphasize rather than exaggerate his steely intellect. An oversized cranium on the other hand would be an exaggeration.

Zahn's books attempted to force Star Wars into a hard-SF mode which is absolutely the last thing the franchise needs. If I were 14 years old when I'd found them, I might have a different opinion.
There are no good Star Wars novels, period.
