Well are you using the original files now or the preconverted ones? Try using the original files if you have not done so already

This is so frustrating!

Still the same error? Since the error implies that one of your files uses a Macro with the given name that does not exist...

original files with the gamedata.ini deleted does not work either :/
what do you mean? this is nonsense
upgrade.ini line 3648
DWARVEN_BATTLEWAGON_UPGRADE_COST says put here some real numbers or provide a valid reference to macro in gamedata.ini
i dont know level of your knowledge so
open upgrade.ini
Ctrl+G type 3648 Enter
find DWARVEN_BATTLEWAGON_UPGRADE_COST and
- replace it with 300 or any other price you think is fear for this upgrade
- put-create this in your gamedata.ini
#define DWARVEN_BATTLEWAGON_UPGRADE_COST 300
run the game fix next similar err msg

Putting things in the gamedata.ini when running a mod does not work, since that file is always read from the original game, so either that game is missing that link.. which is odd... or something is going wrong, so perhaps change the macro to 300 and see if you get many more errors similar to these..

I found the ;;,;; in front of it in multiple unofficial2.02.big files, I deleted all of the ;;,;; in every unofficial2.02 gamedata.ini file (i deleted this directly whilst in final big, i know realise this may be a bad thing...) anyway, i tried relaunching the game and i have a new error! Where to from now? Not keen on uninstalling the 2.02, would i be able to just edit the 2.02 files themselves?

Well why no extract those files as well? First the ini.big ones, and then that patch one over it? ..unless that is what you did?

... increase resource building health, increase walls resistance to slash, add more men to a battalion, increase hero/unit health/armor values, add area effect damage to CaH wizards regular attack (much like Saruman)
this is a long way to go then...
and why you are so possessed by 2.02?
try to open ini.big in the main gamefolder and find (anyrandomsymbol??)gamedata.ini

science good should be known.. its quite a normal definition...
did you edit that 2.02 patch? if not... i have no idea what you did to trigger it if you did not edit the files and they were working before
And what did you touch?

Anyways, thats all irrelevant now, my game decided it didnt have a valid registry key any more -.- used the regedit command, no serial key there, searched for the case, no serial key there -.- searched for the instruction manual, cant find it,searched 3 jours and nadda. Fair to say im pretty pissed off, the only product code is on the manual, why not in the case, oh well its my fault for screwing around with it, not sure whether to buy a new game ($99 AU used or up to $380 AU new) or should I go online for something else (I have no idea what those options are?)

Just find a keygen if you don't have a backup of your registry or something like that around...
EA doesn't really lose any money anymore if you use a keygen nowadays so its not that big a deal anymore.

Got the preconverted files rotwk1.0 and used the -mod command and... it worked!! finally after all the drama!! so happy!
Anyways I have no idea where to start, so a stupid question to start with, about the gamedata.ini, where is it located in the preconverted package? seeing as the data in the original has been moved? (if that makes sense?)
