Hello. Sorry for too many questions and suggestions.

 

Even the infantry have better range, the transport move closer than the infantry's maximum attack range and get exposed to enemy fire. Could you make a button to switch that the transport move close until all infantry inside get in range or stay back so only long range infantry attacks the target? (For missile infantry, ATGM operator, sniper, etc)

Could you make the transport that carries infantry and transport itself doesn't have a weapon receives veterancy for kill assists please? (Also for Propaganda Troopcrawler, stealth detector, target sesignator, ECM Trooper, Shandian, ECM tank, etc).

Why Leech Droid attacks units or structures that is not a supply center? It has no attack isn't it?

Why Cockroach has no veterancy upgrade with suicide bombers and with upgrade with generals powers? It is not look like it has an explosives inside it. I hope it will have a better models.

Why Suan Ni doesn't get veterancy even it destroys a lot of aircraft?

Sometimes the level one artillery doesn't move when ordered to move and dosen't attack when ordered to attack.

Combat units automatically attack enemy internet center.

When Suan Ni gets disabled by enemy ECMs, the soldiers inside continue attacking.

When I created four groups of Field Engineers, they speak English as they exit the barracks.

Why Mobile Barracks doesn't get extra veterancy from Artillery Training Generals Power?

Mobile Barracks is the Target Designator for Artillery so why not make nearby Feng Yong cannons and Neutron Cannons a bonus range?

Mobile Barracks doesn't auto attack as it should be but it does by return fire and it gets destroyed by its own attacks.

Are you sure the air units deal less damage to AA units? The Infantry Fighting Vehicle is quite squishy from air attacks especially from a pair of F-XL Bombers, which are enough to destroy one Infantry Fighting Vehicle.

Why mines from Demolition General is visible when under construction, while Chemical Bunker is invisible while under construction?

Why Sparrow Hawk Gunship is always flying? It is best to wait on the pad while idle because AA can safely attack from the distance or destroy with interceptors or generals powers.

I found that the generals power panic attack the selected area is not for selected units to become berserk but to make nearby enemy units to attack the selected area. Is this intentional?

Nemesis Gunship always move closer to the target than its range when ordered to attack, even with vision on the target from afar.

Can you put show range button on artillery battery and fire base?

Is Minigunner can receive Chainguns Upgrade when Minigun upgrade is not purchased?

ECM Trooper from Flame General has wrong description. (good in conjunction with flamethrower trooper). Is this suppose to be the tank hunter?

I think I need Propaganda Troopcrawler for Nuclear General.

China and GLA transports have no verbal responses for unloading troops.

Can you make transports become mine clearers when Field Engineer is in?

I found GLA AA radar can be detected as mines and demo traps but cannot be disarmed.

Can you make a glowing effect on Nuclear Reactor when overcharge is on?

Helix can attack infantry that is paradropping. (assume he has no AA armaments).

I can't see turbulence even a group of vortexes attack simultaneously.

Why Zu Rong does not get artillery training?

Super Weapon General's EMP Rockets upgrade also applies to Valanx and Aurora Beta. No description for them.

From the map Chernobyl, why you make the countdown not paused when the superweapons are neutral? They could take it when they have sufficient power and defense without capturing until the timer sets zero. I think it must halt the timer in neutral state.

Triple Inferno, when built, has no weapon status.

Troop crawler from China Boss General has only four sit places, not eight.

In Assault General, Tanks with mine sweepers upgrade still take damage from mines.

When I try to detonate demo traps with mine clearers by touching it with a tip of mine clearing area and move back, they still get caught in the demo trap's explosion and destroys the unit. Can you extend the mine clearing area?

In Infantry General, enemy AI always attack dozers when it repairs buildings with air units. The bombs cannot be deviated by ECM and dozers can't move quick enough to evade. Can you make Super Red Arrow to shoot down those incoming projectiles that ECM can't deviate?

In four player map; Fortress, I found that four artillery platforms and bunkers in top right side are too close together. The dozers can't go between two artillery platforms to repair damaged bunkers. Also the infantry in those bunkers sometime can't attack enemies. Maybe the terrain problems.

Its hard to know where the exact position of nuclear radiation and whenever it disappears or not. I want to move units to avoid entering the radiation.

When I captured the neutral repair pad, it doesn't repair air units.

Shandian needs to have sound stopped when idle. It comes to my ears. Also stop jet blast  when not moving.

Assault Troop Crawlers are still moving slowly.

Infantry General's Tank Hunter has a sound of firing tank shells when attacking with missiles.

Scorpion II, when attacks an enemy bunker, can damage dozers behind.

Challenger Tank from USA Boss has a sound of Laser Paladin. Make it the sound of Vanilla Crusader or Paladin.

Earth Shaker Tank. Can be renamed as Chinese. Earthquake = Dìzhèn.

Tank General's Mantidore (AA heavy tank) has low attack range. It's hard to return fire against missile infantry and easily get destroyed.

Can you make ECM trooper to have ECM field? So it can disable drones and deviate missiles even in the transport.

Toxin/radiation cleaner units are struggling to do the action when ordered to clean up toxin/radiation.

Can you make Truck Factory in GLA a preview sound of Command Center?

Why I can't attack tanks with fully salvaged upgraded Pickup Truck?

In the map Mountain Fox, Tank General's Sniper Tank can shoot targets over the cliff from below. Please fix it.

Can you make Dragon Tank and Hua Quin Din (Immolator) to have their fire wall flames travel further? Its useless for short range.

I can Capture chemical bunker in the map Moonbase 2050. It doesn't do anything to help me. What is it for?

Most units have no voice responses when entering transports or structures.

Can you make ground units unable to see the high cliffs unless they go above it? When I stationed my artillery above cliff, enemy Jarman Kell can shoot from low ground and kill drivers.

Can you make Migs, J-100 rocket artillery and Zu Rong to change between standard incerdary warheads and thermobaric warheads?

Can you order highest and lowest of all level one tanks from all faction for fire power and armor? (there's no tanks in Infantry and Super Weapons)

Garrisoning infantry into nuclear reactor in Infantry General is like Bio reactor from Yuri's revenge. Are you planning to make like that and increases power with each infantry inside?

Why there's no Pathfinder in Laser General?

I'm sure what is the difference between Quad Cannon and Aladin Flack Cannon?

 

New Unit. Escort Crusader Tank: looks like vanilla crusader tank but slightly weaker. It gains bonus armor for each allied units or structures. There's maximum amount of bonus armor allowed. Available for Super Weapon General rank one.

Vortex Trooper: Uses vortex warheads to attack aircraft. Available for Flame General rank one.

Maybe a little further.

It's not needed.

 

Why there's no Pathfinder in Laser General?

As far as I remember, Creator removed it because Pathfinders offered too good map control with garrisons and Laser General's power is at tank assaults.

Aladdin has more range. It's better at attacking while moving and better for hit-n-run.

 

There hasn't been actual progress lately. We've done some changes after Beta 2, but we're too busy to continue right now. Thanks for your continuous feedback. I hope we'll have more free time and finish the final version one day.

Suan Ni has no chain guns upgrade icon.

Tank General's Battle Master Tank's long range mode has too much penalty. Could you lower the penalty of fire power and fire rate? Miss chance can be unchanged.

Assault Helix has old description that it can use napalm bombs.Are you putting it or not?

Why enemy infantry when killed, it dies via the artillery shells while attacked by Feng Yong Cannon? Doesn't look like it has large bullets to squish them.

Could you make troop crawlers from Infantry General to have addons of base defense rather than already built up ones?

I'm not sure if tanks from Nuke General has Uranium Shells upgrade in default?

Is all vehicles other than Nuke Generals ones, when upgraded by Uranium Shells and Nuclear Tank, releases nuclear radiation by shooting or get destroyed?

If not, could you please change the name of the upgrade and separate it from Nuke General's upgrades?

Is Radar Van from Stealth General with Anti-radar missile upgrade can attack enemy Strategy Center with Search and Destroy strategy?

Could you list all the units that are not English words for China and  GLA units please?

I am trying to install Contra008Beta2, and this is what happens when i start game http://prntscr.com/3om6y8 . I deleted russian language as ReadMe said, and downloaded patch 1.04. What i did wrong?

I can't identify the problem yet. You can try: Running generals.exe as administrator + Windows XP compatibility (right click on generals.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility).

I got that error when I had not installed 1.04 patch.

feedback:

 

 

 1 Bomber general cannot win first match of generals challenge against super weapon general since his Sneak attack does not work. If i try to click on it it says I need tunnels. And I have a lot of those and I am still not allowed to take sneak attack. It is also annoying as hell that GLA superweapon and Nuke missile is useless against her. Way to slow fight.

 

And she has base defense small turrets which are awesome. (beam og light from the sky) but if you play her you do not have access to those base defense turrets.

 

2 no music is played in credits.

 

 

3 A wish:

 

a way to have all generals be level 3 to begin with in a single-player skirmish.

Could you make Troop Crawlers and Light vehicles built empty weapons and upgrade them later: Troop Crawler has access to; propaganda, gatling and jet booster add on. This is a big wall of text. It would take me a lot of time to answer all questions because many of them must be explained in more than one sentence. So my answer will be short. Some of your suggestions make sense, but are not possible because of engine limitations.

No. Strategy Center addons like walls, cannon and radar are part of the building and they can't be destroyed.

These are not possible because of limitations.

 

I will discuss your suggestions with dcesarec. We'll think about some changes.

Bugs:

- GLA Assault General: Flying building capture infantry (forgot the name): Cannot be hit by Patriot Battery (iirc my enemy was USA Super Weapon General), the Patriot Battery will hit the ground underneath it instead. If you fly the infantry unit over buildings they Patriot Batteries will even destroy their own building.

 

Suggestions:

- China Infantry General: Artillery Designator/Mobile Barracks randomly shots at foes instead of targeted ones. I assume that happens when the unit isn't in range of the target yet and starts to attack the nearest one. That's really annyoing when it bombards a lone infantry in front of my army instead of the defensive structures.

Solution: Remove the "turret" (radar) and make it only possible to bombard targets directly in front of Artillery Designator/Mobile Barracks, give it the ability to turn around (almost) on the spot.

- China Nuke General: His super unit has a similar problem, it attacks random foes instead of the targeted one.

 

edit:

I've noticed that some GLA units have a toggle to auto attack or not. Such a feature would be very help for Mobile Barracks and China Nuke General super unit.

 

 

 

Questions:

- USA Air Force General against USA Cybernetic General: What are you supposed to do against the cloaked Patriot Batteries? Sentries don't seem to be able to detect them, or their vision range is about the same as the attack range of the Patriot Batteries.

- Certain units cannot be build if you have stolen an enemies builder. So far I've noticed that you cannot build USA Air Force General Special Levitation Pod, Colonel Burton, Pilot, and Pave Low. I was playing as GLA Stealth General.

I've played Contra quite a lot the past few days. I've mostly played as China, so here's my feedback for China.

 

China Flame General:

Overall I really like this general as his arsenal is well-rounded and the fuel mechanic adds something different to the usual China playstyle. However there's one unit I find very problematic:
The Howitzer. 5 or more of these units are able to create a Fire Storm from afar, making it very effective against every ground unit. Later it even gets Thermobaric Shells, making even a few of them strong against everything. That is too strong for a rank 1 artillery unit. I would remove its ability to create a Fire Storm and add a rank 3 research which enables it, and scratch Thermobaric Shells entirely.
The Vortex Tank seems also a bit too strong against infantry. They can one-hit most infantry and hit their target pretty much instantly. The damage should be reduced and attack speed increased so infantry units have some time to retaliate before they die.
It is almost impossible to spot units and buildings behind the super weapon animation. The cone needs to be smaller or more transparent.

China Infantry General:

This general needs improvements in certain areas.
The Feng Yong (Gatling Howitzer) is too weak. It lacks mobility to keep up with a Troop Crawler army, and its continuous damage makes skill shots impossible. I like the concept of a gatling artillery, less set-up time, slightly more range than other rank 1 artillery, and/or better velocity might make it on a par with other rank 1 artillery units.
Mobile Barracks attacks random enemies when ordered to attack. This makes this unit almost unplayable. If need be the unit should lose its attack and Artillery Barrage becomes an ability like the Zhu Rong's Fire Shaft. It also slightly annoying that producing 4 infantry at a time often forces the unit to move when they spawn.
ATGM Operator should lose the ability to fire at infantry. The slow velocity of its missile and the fact that it doesn't home infantry units make it miss pretty much every time. Especially if loaded into APCs this would make the unit much stronger.

China Nuclear General:

This general is somewhat crippled due to the lack of a rank 1 mobile Propaganda Tower. Even though he lacks base defenses and thus has to rely on his units for defense he cannot support his units with a mobile Propaganda Tower until rank 3. This also makes it rather difficult to be offensive in the early game.
The Troop Crawler seems misplaced in rank 3; at that point you rather build Overlord or Nuke Cannon.
The Howitzer gains very little from the upgrade Radioactive Shells, the radiation field from its shells should be bigger.
According to the tooltip Cluster Mines Advancement (Nuclear Missile) improves Ka-29 Helix's mines, however the Nuclear General's version cannot deploy mines.
The Nuclear General's super unit Yang Wang has similar targeting issues as the Mobile Barracks, however its not as severe.

China Tank General:

I dunno if this general is weak or I just suck playing it.
The upgrade Red Guard Gun can be researched both in the Barracks and the Propaganda Center. I guess the Barracks one is a mistake.
The Sniper Cannon has no attack move.
The general's power Tank Squadron Training should be rank 1, not rank 3.

All China:

The upgrade Pneumocushion (amphibious Dozer) is very, very situational; I have yet played a map where it would have helped me. Maybe replace it with a generally useful upgrade, e.g. faster repairs or so.
The Ka-29 Helix feels pretty much useless expect for Infantry General. Its armor is made of paper and it gets destroyed by just one or two anti-air units, yet many of its upgrades require it to be next to or on top of its target. It could be made slower and given a much, much thicker armor (similar to Red Alert 2 Soviet Union's Kirov Airship).
A fitting upgrade for Flame General's Ka-29 Helix is the ability to produce and deploy Fuel Tubes.

Problematic match-ups:

Infantry General against Tank General:

As Infantry General you have huge issues against Tank General if he uses ECM Tanks along his regular forces as all Infantry General's AT weapons are missle-based. Dunno what could be done to fix this.

All:

Add a toggle for units which are able to produce mines (e.g. Demolition General's BTR-50P and Battle Bus) to constantly produce mines without having to manually select every single units and queue mines.

Spelling errors:

- China Tank, Infantry and Flame General: ECM should be named ECM Tank.
- Gattling: Dunno if it's also wrong in the vanilla game, but it's spelled Gatling, with one "t".

I want to report bug. Cursor is disappear. I have a radeon hd 6850 HD and the newest drivers 14.9. Also I have a cursor folder. I turn off hardware acceleration.

 

Please advise.

How you can enable the shorud in the maps after 10 mins or so?
