"T3A: Online for BFME1 Setup Wizard ended prematurely"

I've re-downloaded and ran the installer a couple of times already but still no luck. Any help or ideas on how to fix this?

Are you comfortable using the command line? If so, attempt to install it with msiexec /i "T3AOnlineBFME1.msi" /L*V "log.txt" and then post the log.txt.

Does he run the shortcut as administrator, with compatibility settings set to Windows XP service pack 2?

The compatibility setting shouldn't be necessary anymore, that's already set by the installer.

Which BFME 1 Version do you use? Forshires online edition? Anything else? Which Windows? Latest updates?

I'd try a clean uninstall of all BFME 1 files and reinstalling all one by one. You could also provide a filelist from the installation directory.

Hi!

I need help installing:

This might be a stupid question, but I ain't no computer guy... So when I download this 1.05 patch thing, I get this folder called ''patch105'' which is located in my Donwloads folder. Now, what am I supposed to DO with the folder and/or the few things that it contains?

Thanks!

/L3golas

You have to copy the files inside the folder to your Battle for Middle-earth installation folder (Program Files/EA GAMES/The Battle for Middle-earth).

After that, don't forget to use the T3A:Online launcher to update to 1.06!

Hey again!

Thanks for the answer, but I still need further assistance.

Now what I've done is I have marked the whole content of the ''patch105'' folder, copied it and pasted it all into the folder of the game files. After that, I got the T3A client installer, ran it, but got the message that I need to patch the game (to 1.03). Of course my question now is: What do I do?

It should not matter, but what I did when first installing the actual game is that I chose to save it in my own place in My documents, but playing the game is absolutely no problem, but if this has to do with my problem, then you know...

No, but you might need to install the official 1.03 patch (LotrBfMe-65539-english.exe or whatever language you use) if you have the original game. After that you'll have to copy the 1.05 files again. Then you should be able to install the T3A:Online client.

So...

Now I've run the 1.03 patch as well, and now when trying to run the T3A client installer it works out fine! :D

Now my situation is that I can't launch the game. I keeps telling me I need a privilege increase or something....

???

Hi Zombi_Fear, have you been able to solve the problem?

Same issue here screenshot attached

Are you able to run the installer from the command line and send us the logfile "log.log" afterwards?

Use this command in the directory where the installer is located (via cmd).

msiexec /i "T3AOnlineBFME1_1.x.x.msi" /L*v "log.log"

replace the x.x with your file name.

Hey, I'm having a problem re-installing the game. I tried to delete the game because of some complications, and now when I try to re-install it, it shows this message: ("you need to uninstall "the battle for middle-earth" before you install "the battle for middle-earth online edition". Uninstall "the battle for middle-earth and then run this installer again!")

I've tried to uninstall it fully, but It still say's this. I hope you guys can please help me! I'm dying to install it again, but this error just keeps popping up. THANKS!

Have you deleted the installation folder after uninstalling?

Yes, I went into %appdata% and deleted the folder for it. Is there any other way to make sure all the files are deleted?

That's not the installation folder. Make sure you delete it in Program Files\EA Games\.
