From what I can see the grass in those shots is a single item laid down many many times.

Actually I tried it by duplicating a single grass object and it looks pretty neat, but the problem is that after using a certain amount some grass objects would dissappear when zooming out. There is a limit to what you can place, and I don't know if that could be fixed.

I get that a lot with all the trees I place. =( When making a map we gotta learn exactly where the perfect amount of detail to graphics issues is. Saying that I really want to try out Thorongil's code. =D

Grasslands look pretty cool especially with the moving shrubbery addition, but if you add to much your map, takes really long to load and lags a lot. The grass and shrubs disappear in WB after a certain amount is placed and if you zoom out, this is probably to save memory, they still appear in game.
