-Good snow effect, how you make it works????


The snow effect is faked with many animated sprites which are placed all over the map. If you open the lexx0000.mis file, you can find lots of "[ .CLASS MACRO .MACRO SNOW .TOKEN SNOW1A .XYZ [ 125 1593 0 ] ]" lines. That's the animated sprite objects.
 

-Hard difficulty in some missions, so much patrols guys, but excellent maps.


Most of the time it's all about timing. Me personally, I actually find some missions already way too easy. :p Though, of course, I played them all already like a million times... In any case, keep in mind what features you have available: Throw stones, use cigaretes, use enemy soldier control, etc. I tried to make everyone useful, not just the Green Beret and the Spy.
 

-How do you capture the general in the 4 mission? What to do to give it to vehicle???


Knock him out with the Spy (use the Ether) and then carry him into the escape vehicle. Drive to the south and that's it.
 

Also good work doing custom rle maps, and briefings...


Thanks. All in all this mission pack was (and is) a lot of work. Commandos surely isn't the easiest game to make a mod for.

I am currently preparing another update with more tweaks and stuff. Not sure when I'll release it, though. Could still take a week or two, depending on the things that need fixing.

Hello everyone, in the bonus mission I never got to see the conductor,even if i  restart the mission  him never showup,solution please.

The next patch will feature a bigger amount of fixes (objects / sectors) and I've spend some time to upgrade a few of the maps a bit on the visual side. Like the castle, which is now a bit bigger:

The background is tweaked a bit too and I think it looks p.cool now. It looks more pretty ingame, with birds flying around the tower, etc.

I am not really happy with it. I don't like the layout and it is lacking something special.

About the animal sprites, I wouldn't really have any use for them right now, and I don't want to add elements to the missions that ultimately don't server a real purpose. See the animals in the Zoo missions of BCD- they have a purpose and they make sense in the theme of the map. In my desert map seen above, there isn't any room to place animals in a way it would make sense.

The briefing is done via *.SCR files. Check out the existing ones to see how it's done there. It's one of the easier things to do.

Well, the camera moves via the STARTGOTO command. For example, this:
0 STARTGOTO #B COMANDO
Will move the camera to the objects called COMANDO (in this case, it is the Green Beret).

Put a WAITGOTO after it and the script will wait until the camera moved to the target position. Then the next line gets played, etc.

The briefing is very basic and simple, it's just easy to lose the overview in it. So you should add comments whenever and wherever possible.
