It looks great, but I think his waist/thigh area is too slim.

You might be right.. I think I'll make it slightly wider before I fix topology for low res version

Here's a more polished finish... I did the following:
1) Widen waist, hip area.
2) Thicker thighs.
3) Shorter legs.
4) Less broad shoulders
5) Smaller chest, with better shape of muscles.
I appreciate the constructive critisism that made me see the errors myself =) This looks better I think.

Thanks =) Suggestions o SKL..? I'm thinking Lurtz, but the attack anims are so few. What else could fit him?

I'm thinking maybe Aragorn's? But also, as a last suggestion, you could heighten and pronounce his cheekbones a little.

I'd go with Lurtz. Mine is rigged to Lurtz and it works fine.

Yeah I like the rather slow anims, that fit his large physique... too bad he's just got like 3 attack anims though, with the head but =/
Cheek bones? They are, massive? U think they should be even bigger?

I was thinking that, but ever so slightly. Not really a big deal though, when you retopologize it that'll be lost regardless.

Omg... I spent a lifetime on this friggin mace. Took all weekend (yeah I know, too much time for a single object like this!), but the good news is I picked up a few new things and learned how to do hard surface non organic modeling in ZBrush (which is a whole other thing than modeling humanoids and animals etc). I also FINALLY lerned how to do manual topology, instead of the "automatic" way via the zRemesher plugin - which sucks when it comes to retopologizing hard surfaces. Via manual distribution and scaling of polygns I was able to get it lower than I had hoped for. The high res mace object is 34 000 polies. Each blade in this (pic) low res object is about 90 polies and slightly more for the rod/shaft. That'll do I think =)
Will fix topology for Azog as well asap and then send it off to a forum buddy that will hopefully be able to rig it to a suitable bone/SKL...
As of right now, this object consists of 6 pieces with 2 texture maps. Each blade is a single object. I did this so I could use the same UV and texture for each blade. But, I'm not sure if I should merge it all to two or even one single object all in all, before exporting. I'm not sure if that will work in other applications etc...Maybe someone else knows?

A question relating to the actual model: did you use zSpheres to make the main body and then pile on clay afterwards?
#32

I think Sauron's movements are too slow. Azog is more agile than that... ;p
No, no zSpheres for this one (except the prostetic arm). He's sculpted upon a pre made body in zB called Nick something.

Well he looks lovely, I suppose I should get on getting audio for him from the films. I will have time tomorrow. I need a small change from mapping anyway.

That would be absolutely great, as I hate the EA Goblin King audio. Try to grab as much as you can from both movies. Many scenes with him have a pretty clear dialogue without too much ambient noise. His roars on Weathertop after slaying Yazneg would be cool as attack audio for instance. This caracter is epic and wil serve as the most powerful orc in game, so movie audio is a must =) RoR offered to help rig him, but I haven't finished topology yet though, so there's time for you to grab audio before I code him in

You'll see in the DoS GIP report they've changed them to Orkish tags.
And you can't really disagree with David Salo's blog: He translated the Orkish for the films! http://midgardsmal.c...ategory/orkish/
Edit: And also, not all they have on the GIP reports are right. The curse Thorin mutters in the cells is actually "I pour excrement on your head" according to Richard Armitage.
Didn't you see my tech tree, translated into Quenya, Sindarin, and Orkish? I spent so long looking this stuff up... http://forums.revora...es/#entry954149
And just to add in a quote: "I think you'll find I know what I'm doing"
