Sure :) . If you're using nickthemenace's tutorial ( http://www.artistryg...od/tutorial.htm ), go to this part:

~~

Next you have to bind all the vertices to bones. This is considered the hard bit, but is more time consuming than hard. Press these buttons in this order:

[insert screenshot here]

Now click anywhere on your RenX scene, preferably far away from your mode, but still in view. The thing you have just made is called a WWSkin.

[insert screenshot here]

Now right click on the scene, and unhide all. Then click ‘Add Bones’ from the menu on the right. (You may have to click on the WWSkin again to make the button come up).

Check the ‘Display Subtree’, and ‘Select Subtree’ buttons. Now from the list, choose all the bones you want use, normally the only ones you don’t want to use are things like ‘BOUNDINGBOX’, ‘WWSkin’ etc.. Click OK.

~~

This isn't the correct order (or atleast, it doesn't work for me). This is the order I use:

~~

Now right click on the scene, and unhide all. Then click ‘Add Bones’ from the menu on the right. (You may have to click on the WWSkin again to make the button come up).

Hope that helps!

I'm so sorry for making your skin threand almost into a model FAQ threand but one more question, when I bind the mesh to the wwskin, it says cannot bind: would create dependancy loop..so...what to do now?

make a clone of the mesh (Edit >> Clone), and then delete the original. Then, bind the skin to the clone.

Plase use PM's for that kind of thing Haldir, it wasnt needed to post in this thread. To answer your queston rhiea, you just click save, save it as something like newasset.dat, then when its finished, delete your original asset.dat (or back it up), and then rename your one to asset.dat, and put it where the old one was.. (sorry if that didnt make much sense)

Well, I figured this thread could actually use some new models/skins, so here we are:

Posted Image

I've created new fx for Arwen's Loudwater Fury attack. The added fx would be the fully animated running horse you're seeing about. This was my first attempt at wDump stuff and I must say I like it. It led me to making this:

Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

It's a Nightmare (Hell Horse, if you will). I'm currently offering it to the Elementis mod, but if they decline, I'm open to letting someone else have it.

I ish agree with halbarad, it is really sweet! But there' just one thing....I think the horse needs to be a little more backwards...so it's in with the affect!

Took me a few minutes to figure what on earth you were talking about lol. And what I have there is what I was going for, but I'll try orienting the water fx closer to the front of the horse and see how it works (it'll probably look better, now that I'm thinking about it).

Sorry to double post, but I feel like bumping.

I've posted this in... I think 4 other places, so I may as well post it here. Here's my Glorfindel:

Looks very nice ;)

Tho if you didn't say it was glorfindel I would say that it was thranduil or another mirkwood elf because of the type of green.

I knoooooooows... lol. I was planning on making him blue and white, but it would have looked way too similar to your Glorfindel, and I couldn't have that. So I ended up using my Thranduil concept. Ah well, I still like it ;) .

Possibly for a later version. As it stands right now, the Elves already have 7 heroes (8, if you count Celeglin). They have plenty of enough for the time being.

Here's a reskin on Celeglin:

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

This will either be his light armour (at level 4, he'll switch to hero armour (ala, the old skin)) or will just altogether replace the old skin. Haven't decided yet.

A re-reskin of the Galadhrim Warriors (my original ones didn't stand up very well ingame):

Posted Image Posted Image

The first is in light armour, and the second in heavy armour.

Wow, nice detail on the Galadhrim armor. I love Celeglins new skin too, and the designs on the clothing of your heros is amazing! How did you do that?
