Dain do you approve this Dain? :D

EDIT:
Val try deleting all w3d References in regedit.exe.I think i had this problem before. Then start w3d Viewer again and it will ask you to choose between 16bit and 24bit (Choose 24 bit).
If that doesn't fix it click on View (It's right from the File) and Click on "Use high-quality shader materials"

"The other one" is my model, rigged. It's the same thing, just different (crappy) lighting.

In W3D viewer you can kill the scene light, which is what i believe he's referring to. It helps sometimes in getting a good render :p.

Maybe it's just the render, but I think the beard (and some other parts as well, but less noticeable) looks blurry. Maybe go back over the texture with some darker lines to make it look more... Hairy. :p

Ah I see, yeah I will polish the textures a bit in Photoshop anyways, to emphazise the metal effect of the armor, so I will try and accentuate the beard a bit more =)

I think the head is too big for the body, imagine him without all the armor. If you make his head+helmet smaller then I'm sure it would look better.

Gosh, aren't we picky  :trickydick:

- Rigging my models is not exactly a walk in the park. BFME models are about 500-1500 polys. This one is all in all about 10 000 polys, and my quite experienced rigger said it was not easy to rig him due to the extreme high poly count and having to use a lot of secondary binding". No models are flawless in all anims, not even EA's and problems become more aparent when there are thousands of vertices that need to find the most appropriate bone. This is most likely as good as it will get. All my models suffer more or less distortions and it's not simply a matter of poiting them out. Vertices can be most fittingly rigged for some anims, while not for others. It's impossible to get it completely flawless.

- About the helmet. yes it's a tad too big. That's cause I didn't want to make a second head version. If the helmet is smaller, the hair will poke through. The head (excluding the helmet) is the correct size, for a dwarf. Like this, far left:

I understand what you're saying (or rather your "experienced rigger") but I agree with the others that at the very least the chest portion can be fixed. In fact that area of the chest is one of the few "static" parts that you can fairly simply just select every nearby vertex and rig them all to the ring bone.

Sincerely,

Also an "experienced rigger".

P.s. No hard feelings. Just had to put it out there like that. :p
