Would be interesting if the basic tank of the Coronia was actually not hover, but a flyer tank. Kinda like their T3 Monster Tank, a flying turret. Most of the basic anti-armor infantries can already shoot flying units as well.

Since the Allies Robot Tanks get a laser gun to make them even better at anti-infantry, is there any Reason to give the Stryker, Archon and Tsurugi IFV's a G.I. or whatever machine gun turret? the Robot Tank can detect cloak, resist mind control and confusion and float over water. 

 

 

Also some more speculation.

Also the Riot Trooper is like the Garrison cleaner for USA, so the Euro Sniper is also a Garrison cleaner buy shooting them out the windows i think. so what is the Pacific Front's? The Blizzard tank to freeze 'em to death while doing little damage to structures? And i guess when not clearing, the Riot Trooper's attacks works like a debuffer like the Bulldog's flashbangs? or maybe like a long range anti-personnel infantry.

The IFVs were always a more effective anti-infantry vehicle because they had more range and are fast effective harassment early on. I believe they are also slightly tougher than the Robot tank.

Hover units are a bit awkward to micro as well which doesn't help.

Sniper does not clear garrisons.
Riot troopers ARE long range anti infantry units. And yes, their attacks apply firepower debuff.

Basic machinegun IFV modes will be gone as they are redundant compared to the Robot Tank.

Funny the sniper is back in Skirmish. I remember all the people saying how op it would be.

What convinced the devs to bring it back?

I see no reason to remove it even if it's obsolete, even in your view. Who knows what tactic will come out of it that nobody thought of before.

No tactic. There are other, new infantry that would like to receive a unique IFV mode.

Wait, you meant the IFV combos have limited slots? Somehow the coding is limiting you from making indefinite combos..?

Now that's unfortunate, that you have to remove one combo to implement another combo :(

Ah, well by machine gun IFV.... We will kinda miss you. Also I would like to sign on for Foehn's mech pilot division (I was a major fan of GDI's mechs).

If we are on a row of speculations, I believe that Foehn tier 3 infantry will be comparable to NOD cyborgs.

There is a Heavy Machine Gun mode, which is access by SEAL and some other infantry now.

An Epsilon tech Foehn unit that is amphibious i see. it looks quite blocky. like its a transport or deploys into something. it seems to be shooting a blue beam from the front my guess: it works like the original magnetron but with a Foehn twist. (whatever it is)
