Well, the Foehn EVA has a very well done voice, very demanding sounding and cybernetic. and now there are 2 females and now 2 male EVA's.
The Coronian Draco tank is surprising with its detachable turret quirk. really makes you keep tabs on all the anti air units you have. get those IFV's, Halftracks, and Gatling Tanks ready. but does the Turret stay up there like a floating sentry or can you still move it? and will it be able to attack enemy gunships? i wonder if the spinblade compatibility is unique to the Draco or extends to all Foehn MBT's.
(i still predict that the other two subfaction MBT's would be a GDI Titan like walker that is slow but can crush and the other tank can heal from killing enemy vehicles with nanomachines, son)
The Sweeper seems quite powerful with its rockets and cloaking when deployed feature. though i suspect that it has weak armour as a drawback for cloaking and firepower.
While i like the swirly, bubbly looking effect of the Irritator's confusion ray, the flare blast looks too violent and looks more like the psychic dominator's blast. suggest it instead make a bunch of small flare sprites slowly fall around the blast?
The Mastodon is looking as mean as ever. i do like the targeting crosshair on who it's preparing to fire at as well as the "heat haze" effect around the target. like its gonna turn whatever the enemy is standing on into glass.
The Nanite cloud appears to make the nearby KinghtsFrames shine like they are getting effected by the cloud. so it looks like it works on Foehn infantry as well. giant tank ambulance!
Diverbees are Kamikaze drones. simple. though lot of resources? seems counterproductive for a unit designed to be expendable. unless it means deploying them in large numbers.
The Alanqua Skystation is probably the highlight for this clip. watching the enemy infantry fly and splat on the ground looks hilariously brutal. and i see it's shooting heat seeking wind bubbles (!)
The Minermite, knew that little thing was its resource collector. and that it was Spinblade compatible. i wonder if it spawns in pairs from a newly constructed refinery? also a resource collector working as a repair vehicle is a very unexpected idea.
Harbinger looks great, nothing else to say.
Now that Quickshifter is one tricky looking thing. says it carries infantry but only see 1 bip on it. i guess limited space for a portable chrono device and missile pods?
That Salamander looks quite nasty. but a very great looking design. but looks more Foehn in style then Epsilon. but then again, it is reverse engineered from Foehn tech to begin with. but is the two confusion ray modes deploy selected on auto select based on target distance?
Now other thoughts, i am a bit dissapointed with how the structures are spawned. but hey, it saves on animation time and the buildings look pretty nice with their Shark logos.
The Music does feel very heroic and epic, but seems to really go at odds with the rest of the established red alert music which is that funky electro dance-ish by Frank Klepacki. the Epsilon soundtrack by Black Ice 9 feels different but still manages to fit with the Red Alert feel and even feels like pure threatening malice but also bizarre and otherworldly. this is almost generic in comparison. still wonder if this is just trailer and placeholder music.
Also Volknet? i bet Volkov is used a cyborg bio-server for communications? or Volk meaning "people" and that they are the "Free People".
Also i wonder if the Alanqua's tornado can send enemy vehicles flying then exploding after depleting their health.
Cant wait to see the next set of videos!
