Actually the boidmachine could activate 2 support powers, the first one makes a boid tech field and maybe wrapping it around the map, the 2nd one is a blitzing weaponry.

You will have to know that i already have all foehn support power cameos, One of them is the recon sortie mentioned before in the mental omega site.

Oh, found more interesting stuff while combing though already finished unit pages. Apparently Volkov has a Tesla Grenade weapon and War Miners can deploy? Is this news to anyone else?

The Tesla Granades are used against buildings. They were already showed on the campaing walkthrough posted on MO's Youtube channel

The War Miner thing... you just spotted a mistake on the unit's additional info  :smile2ap:

Mistake? Maybe it means unload, not deploy, or maybe deploy a fury drone mines?

Nah, it's just an error.

It doesn't have a deployed state or a "special ability"

It would be much helpful to have a "Foehn Tutorial" like in the shape of a mini chapter of the campaign in the upcoming release to learn the basic tricks and traits of the faction in a low difficulty (without having to endure your windbelts shut down by enemy infiltrators/spies over and over again, for example)
But assuming that the release is imminent I think that such request is to late to mention...
Like, how to operate the blasticade and the confusion ray tech effectively etc.

i'm guessing most of the foehn missions will teach you some if the later end stuff, leaving the rest to trial and error/vs ai play

I think every side should have a tutorial mission.

I agree. Back before 3.0 was released, we had this discussion, that slowly died off and forgotten: https://forums.revor...or-30/?p=904727

@Yunru the Gundealer,
I agree, most of the fun comes from trial and see by yourself, however, I would like to learn how to play foehn effectively in the way it is intended to be, like a high tech specialized strike force with good cooperation between the cutting edge and support powers/units. But just like you said, the campaign missions (hoping that 3.3 release will actually include them) will teach us how to command foehn before leaving the player to invent his/her own tactics.
But taking consideration the fact that the foehn is already expensive, the learning would be the most interesting part of 3.3 release since we won't not be able to spam the psi corps with mastodons.
Now, I dont want to sound like a spoilt kid and berate the devs with the same question over and over again but is there a chance to have the release during this month ? We are all excited arent we :D

Why not just to play 1sv1 against your friend? That'll help you both to learn some new stuff (AI doesn't give you the true sense of game, because it's always the same stupid bot)

I've already found one oldy-strategy fan in my university, and we are both wait for MO3.3

1v1 is good too. But spesific missions sometimes require the usage of some unique tech. Otherwise, spam battles against the AI not being much helpful. Just like you said.
For example, there was a mission in the 2.0 or 2.2 release which required reliance on iron dragons (i forgot the name) which was a lot of fun and it was interesting. There was also Boris in it.

@Kirov_Fury

That's why 1vs1 is the easiest and most helpful solution. Using some easy bots, you can even model combine-tech situations. Considering the new stolentech units system, I think that there will be less "campaign-unique" units

Going by this logic, in A07 requied you to rely on tanya, S06 and S10 required you to use Volkov and Chitzkoi. Tutorial would require a lot of work. Maybe testing team could prepare updated subfaction spotlights. I myself was planning to make a video about changes and updated or new mechanics.

Still, by actually playing games you can learn the most.

Imagine 4 tutorial missions, each themed as faction's camp (Soviet training grounds in Siberia/Ural, Allies camp somewhere in a city, Yuri training base in desert, Foehn training facility in whatever place they reside). The instructor then would teach you the basic traits of your faction and why it is different from another factions (speed/armor/firepower/), and introduce subfaction units and support abilities. Or something like RA3 tutorial, which was a very nice touch.

I guess UnloadingClass is a lie. :)

Cesare is already deep into making videos, he could do the updated subfaction spotlights. Along with the new Foehn ones.

well, in the end most of it is gonna be trial and error, after all i think the foehn missions are gonna be the hardest just to make up for the lesser number of em' and plus, the missions can't tell you everything :p

I also think that the Foehn missions will be the hardest, but most likely because they take place at the "end". As in, after all the other campaigns in the timeline.
