if the time line is changed while allied and soviet in conflict and libya is a soviet it suppose that soviet control Egypt and Algeria to secure libya that what i know

remember... Hitler got erased which would've changed a lot, including the Brittish (and other European countries) invading and occupying the mediterranean countries during WW1-WW2 actually ending in a success, and since the European are allies with America they might have handed the extraction operations to the Americans in exchange for oil and other resources

You should probably note that Mental Omega -verse is not real life verse. There was no WWII that had USSR and the Western Allies eventually beat Nazi Germany as the defining moment of colonialism's collapse. Instead, there was a war with USSR taking on most of Europe (with US support later on). Crucially, they lost this war.

The war resulted a puppet government being formed for a time, even if they later rebuilt their strength in shadows. I have yet to see ironclad proof that Libya is Soviet-controlled in 3.3 plotline either, unlike how it was in the earlier versions, and USSR doesn't seem to have been very interventionist or overt prior to the invasion they started. This is evidenced by the mission in which they go and recover Volkov's remains. Indeed, it makes sense not to draw attention to yourself by conquering countries next to your intended enemies, or generally acting hostile. Subversive actions might be possible, but there's no "securing Libya" as you put it.

So if anything, North Africa entirely seems to made of Allied - mostly US - client states prior to the WWIII. Morocco and Egypt are demonstratably US-aligned in the campaign, and I see little indication that the situation is any different for most of the rest of the states, given Rashidi's operations resolving mostly against Allies. There is mention of some Soviet expedition force presence in the area later on that chases Rashidi, however, but that is not elaborated upon very closely.

Mostly in it for the lore. Although, I do enjoy basebuilding as well.

my point was that they are under allied occupation, they don't have an "allegiance" to the allies and would rather join the other party to help them get rid of them (aka soviets) but as it stands in current MO lore scorpion cell probably controls all of Africa and with the scorpion cell being under mind control these countries are under epsilon's control.

The final message in Dance of Blood once the Chinese attack has been stopped still uses the old name of the island (Exilian instead of Totoya Island).

This probably has been said by someone else, if it is, then my apologies.

I have a theory about Paradox Engine, is it a giant time machine basically...? And I have a feeling it's usage is not for time-traveling (mainly), but for messing around with present time flow and transport units from other parallel dimension.

After I saw Hysteria, I had a thought, "what if the Paradox Engine simply pull out units from other time to be used on current time", which means they don't need any resources to make those tanks, they just 'connect' to a time, pull out the units into current tmeline and voila! And from its name "Paradox", I'm guessing they found a loop hole where they could just infinitely pull units into current timeline (with cooldown and limit to how much they can pull at a time, I presume), thus negating the needs to gather any resources to make the tanks, only needs sufficient energy to power the machine itself.

I don't think there is a facility to build tanks inside the Paradox Engine, right..?

This thought just suddenly came to me when I was watching developer playthrough of Hysteria. Watching those Prism Tanks/Cavalier/Thor getting chronoshifted, not to mention the countless barracudas.

there is no time-travelling in MO, at least as far as the devs have said.

and you could argue that the paradox is both a training/manufacturing facilities.

It was said somewhere that the Paradox Engine was like those alien saucers from Independence Day, which are fucking huge.

It could be parallel dimensions and what not, but I think the simplest explanation which requires the fewest assumptions is that the Engine simply has a ridiculous amount of units onboard. After all, the Engine was suppose to spearhead a rebellion against the Soviets, the allies probably just built up a ton of units during the interbellum period for this purpose.

There's a mockup artwork made by Damfoos somewhere that more or less shows it well.

I mean, to be fair, its battery that we saw in Hysteria is awfully compact if the Paradox Engine is as big as the one from Independence Day...

So approximately it is 4 or 5 times larger than an aircraft carrier... I guess production facilities can be in it...?

But considering the chronosphere at the front, I'm thinking it probably needs other machinery besides chronosphere and battery just to make the time freeze possible, right..?

I feel like it would be too cramped to put in a war factory inside there, beside all other machineries used to power the gimmicks

I don't know, the scaling is screwing with my depth perception xD
