I was playing Human Shield on 3.3.1 and got to the base to mind-control some of what I presumed were Spies (the gray Conscripts). However, when I did so, they had the Conscript voice lines, attacked like Conscripts, and quickly died like Conscripts. Did I do something wrong? The videos I saw of the mission later showed them as Spies.

In Dance of Blood Libra is supposed to be completely silent, but says her lines if ordered to deploy.
The left Chinese base in this mission also has odd-looking tiles.
UPD: These tiles appear when the Nuwa cannon is destroyed and radiation field appears. When radiation fades completely, these squares remain. I've checked the Desolator - the same thing happens. The area affected by radiation becomes much darker after the radiation field fades.

You can bypass gear change, by using the stalins fist. but you can also You can use iron curtain, force shield, legionnaire chrono eraser on one of your war factories. And this WF won't be disabled.

You can't. Hence why it's kind of a pain in the ass, especially when you mind control the snipers. All of them should be spies.

Since 3.3.1. I presume? Because when I played that mission in 3.3.0., I mc'd a sniper and it killed a spy, causing me to fail the mission.
