Commandos 2 HD V2.0 is released! (18/07/2024)

 

 

 

 

This is classic Commandos 2 without bug and converted to a more stable updated HD system.

This version is compatible with every monitor and resolution and contains English and Italian languages.

 

COMMANDOS 2 HD V.2.0 features:

– New and more stable HD system conversion

– All bugs fixed

– Multiplayer fixed

– New HD textures

– New HD water

– All historical symbols are present

– New briefing’s format

– All videos converted at 16:9 format

– New menu in high resolution

– Reshade effects

– Many other small features

 

To play the game without problems, make a clean installation by uninstalling any previous version of Commandos from windows

Please, remember: this is an amateur mod. I don’t like piracy, you must have the original copy of the game!

Cheat:

Spoiler

You can activate cheat mode. To do this, during gameplay, type "HDPROJECT" and cheat mode will be activated.

After to use a cheat, type the command to unlock the corresponding cheat:

Invisible: CTRL+V
Kill Enemies: CTRL+SHIFT+X
Show Current Framerate: CTRL+-
Teleport: SHIFT+X
Win Mission: CTRL+SHIFT+N

How you do this after all? Rewrote the game's technique for loading the required assets/triggers? Im dying. Holy balls fam!

Good work. Finally a way to play in 1080p. 

 

Is this compatible with Destination Paris mod? I haven't even touched default c2 in ages after playing DP, would be great having a way to play that in 1080p. 

And last thing is it possible to turn off new shade/colour effects also? Personally I like original colours more than the C3 greyish look, but that's just my opinion

Naturally. The "F2, F3, etc" function works fine.

1) The Destination Paris mod has not been tested on this version. I believe that it is necessary to update Destination Paris mod to a new version to make it compatible.

 

2) To remove the Reshade effect and return to the original colors and little contrast, just delete the file DXGI.DLL

I (think I) understand DX11 but why only that specific resolution? (1680x1050 support would be awesome ;-) )

Will destination paris patch roll in the upgraded game, remains yet to be seen.

I suggest instead of using exe from the steam version, use the exe from DP version instead which has some game limits removed, that way it should work in DP and MOC

Maybe use the exe from nightingale then, it has option in var.dat to enable high resolution menu and has mission limits removed like dp exe

But one question , it works for me if i delete the file "ddraw.dll" if i don't delete this file the game doesn't start

Actually 1920x1080  is the resolution i am using, which is the recomended in the properties.

 

 

Download the resolution fix and copy the new 1920x1080 file in the game folder. Try it with DDraw.dll.

Hi I downloaded this and the resolution fix, I have 1920x1080 monitor, GPU: R7 260oc, the menu looks nice but I'm currently doing TUTORIAL 1 I have black blocks on sides....

 

Is this cause that's just how the tutorial is or did it not install correctly?

 

Also TUTORIAL 1, how do I equip the grenade from inventory and throw at soldiers? I tried different keys to no avail.
