Focus Shift and Huehuecoyoti are amazing missions, mostly due to the fact that in Focus shift there's an insane amount of stress caused in Mental difficulty, where you either need to micro your Adepts well or your MIDAS missile is destroyed, pretty simple, what makes it interesting is that you have an ally and an all out map war going on around you, gives the feeling of a proper escort mission, not just, clear the path for this gigantic rig so it can move.
Huehuecoyoti has you sneak into a coloning vats and unleash an infinite amount of brutes, it's hilarious and really shows the power you have in your hands, it perfectly demonstrates it, hell, you don't even have to use Rahn, just send him to teh choppa, and it's done.
It's just my opinion, but I like big team battles, that's the fun in strategy games, especially a game like Red Alert 2, just chaos everywhere.
Base building missions don't have to be 2 hours long, I know you generalized it as " Attack X ", but that won't be the case in MO, I'm sure, we've had several missions where we had to defend.
Base building missions could be divided into categories like,
" Support X "
" Capture/Destroy Y "
" Move though the enemy stronghold and establish checkpoints in order to weaken their defense. "
" Defend Y "
" Support your allies in destroying X "
The thing is, they can be as diverse as the micro management missions if used properly, you know?
