Then we need this transferred immediately to someone to get it progressed. We've been waiting for some time for those and now all the projects have become active again with solid builds.
I'm not sure you have seen what has been happening recently with various projects but we're in a sorta Renaissance period right now so having OP updated is BEYOND critical right now. Lets make it top priority folks!

@Jones.. For sure but that aside can we get those OP updates as requested asap? It makes a huge difference especially when I noticed it was long applied to Craftworlds and, man, it makes a huge difference!
Not possible currently from my side, cause I have no time for modding completely.I yet have about 50+ black-library books, purchased, delivered and unread
Also I've lost most of interest because of amount of dull/sad mods released in last few years, and have no motivation anymore. The only upcoming things which deserves attention are Darkness Within, Dawn of Glory and models of Ombrephenix. Everything else is disappointing.
A shame to hear, but that's ok. Do you have any objections to someone else taking up the OP mod and updating it as required?

Yeah. I have updated the objective points whm to solve the issue of the Renegades banner.
It was the easier solution in terms of time and weight.
I start telling what was the problem: it seems that the engine does not recognize banner (or badge) textures if they are contained in more than one wtp file per race.
The renegades models like the sergeant or the HQ have a texture for the flag called "defiler_banner" which is an heritage from the chaos models. the Objective points model has a texture for the banner called renegades_banner, which is a rsh with a Alpha legion picture.
You may think that creating a wtp like the defiler_banner.wtp but renamed to renegades_banner.wtp would solve the problem but no. The engine was unable to read and apply the banner from the teamcolours assignments.
What I've made is to rename the renegades_banner to defiler_banner in the whm for the texture paths. Both banners are the same, a half chaos star in the top. No differences, no pain.
Alternatively, I could have changed the path of the banner texture on the models who use it like the sergeant or the HQ, probably something else and named it "renegades_banner". But I'm lazy. Nonetheless it can be a possibility too.
Caveat: Any mod who has models which carry a banner texture has to assign the same texture name for both the models and the objective points, otherwise the wtp file will not be applied on the banner of the objectives.

OP it's easier to update and upload with that minor fix, as a transition patch or as a ad hoc upgrade to support RG.
I think that changing any instance of whm where defiler_banner appears for renegades_banner is also possible for the new build. Your choice.

This is exactly what I'm wrote before.
But the only good way is to change "models who use it like the sergeant or the HQ", because from perspective of man who will/continue support development of OP_SS mod, you made hell.
Imagine, your have 30+ or 50+ races/objects in the model and need to handle all those textures in 3dmax, but someone decided to use the same name for a bunch of similar objects.

Ok, I concede this point. Otherwise all races could potentially have the same name for the _banner.rsh and being different just in the path. But probably a mess.
I just wanted to prove my guess and I realized that limitation.

NOTE: The texture (rsh+wtp) used on the banner pole of specific race - must be the same texture(by path) used in race's infantry models, and it must be the subject of "teamcolor" applying
Breaking of this rule will cause the problem, when strategic point ingame shows the pre-defined texture(banner) instead of teamcolored. Such that was in DA mod long long ago.

Thankfully, all of the projects can use existing banner poles (ie. Death Guard and Iron Warriors can use the vanilla CSM one, just the banner content changes) so, ideally, if we can "mock up" sections of the OP's whe/whm so, in future, we could FFE projects in there with blank/placeholder texture paths meant for factions mods using vanilla factions' banner poles (SM, CSM, Eldar, Orks, Guard, Tau, Necrons, DE, Sisters, etc etc).. That would be most ideal as then when a mod comes in which would ideally use one of those we could leverage it immediately without waiting on a whole update. Is that possible? ie. Tau Enclaves would leverage the vanilla Tau Banner pole and UM would merely use the vanilla SM.

No, or partially, because the OE-code in my version of OP_SS model is a bit complex.

So.... what needs to make this happen, folks? Work effort required just to clear the backlog on mod factions that can merely use vanilla banner sources (ie. Tau Enclaves and Ultramarines)?
