I also sort of have a concept for a new stolen tech, following the idea that that kind of units should be most useful against the faction whose technology was stolen. For something that's stolen from Epsilon that would mean good anti-infantry capability and immunity to mind control. So I thought "Hey, the Stinger is kinda cool", and also "Scrin Tripods from TW are also cool".

Basically, I think of something like the fusion of the above-mentioned units, a Stinger on three legs and steroids, lots of steroids... with some sort of toxin grenade launcher, with warheads not unlike the Plague Splatter's, and maybe room for 3 infantry, one in each leg, who could use fireports. Obviously, the tripod being robotic, it would be mind control resistant.

The lore could be that Rashidi, having turned against Yuri, wanted to create a new heavy unit specifically to counter his mind control and infantry divisions. Being inspired by the Chinese Centurion, but recognizing its fatal flaws such as its enormous size and price, he designed a new unit based on his Stingers.

I like the name you came up for your aircraft, the "Defiler". Could fit any Epsilon unit, really, even this one. This tripod would be much smaller than the Centurion, and would also have a different arrangement of legs, think of either TW's tripods, or alternatively, the Strider from HL2, or even its concept art variants, and it would not be an epic unit. Probably also rather lightly armored but fast for its size.

Well, there's some food for thought.Divine, your idea of a Stinger/Annihilator Tripod hybrid sounds intriguing,to say the least.Though in my opinion,if it can be made to look like the Nod Reapers in Tiberian Twilight, that would be very fitting. Two Toxin Grenade Launchers should be enough.

I don't know about that. The "Defiler" name feels appropriate for units using biotoxins or chemotoxins, from my POV.But thanks anyway!

That doesn't really fit Scorpion Cell doctrine of using strength in numbers with cheap but spammable units tho.

This is a stolen tech we are talking about.

Well I was talking about the tripod, but I think I may have messed up there.

Heavy toxic bomber's also not exactly fitting for Scorpion Cell's doctrine though. At least, it's going to be hard to make it spammable, being jet and all (if we're going with Dybbuk).

Stolen tech units cost a whopping 2 grand,if you remember. They can never be spammed.

There's the issue I faced while conceptualizing this.I mean, the only other alternative to this is a moderately heavy Toxin Chopper(similar to the one used by the GLA in the cancelled C&C:Generals 2).But helicopters would look outlandishly out of place in Epsilon,so the Dybbuk-based bomber.

They could be hovercrafts similar to basilisks, since Rashidi invented basilisks, he could probably create more hovercrafts. This makes room to make them spammable, fitting scorpion cells doctrine. I’m just wondering what their bonus purpose is, being flying stingers that can raid buildings, tyrants already do well in raids (to well in this update), most of scorpion cell’s T3 counteracts infantry well already, but scorpion cell would likely still need malver’s deploy to stand up to armour, while trikes can do quite well, the cell lacks a T3 anti armour unit.

Hoverdynes and Scorpion Cell?!!It sounds like Rashidi stole the Magnetic Levitation technology from PsiCorps.

I meant the hovering technology that the basilisks use, Rashidi invented basilisks so he could still use the same tech, I though I said that in my post o.o.

I am still not convinced. Before you say anything else, let me tell you that I haven't looked at the MO Wiki in a while. The MO website says nothing of the sort.

I don’t believe the MO website gives Rashidi any credit at all for his inventions to begin with, I may be wrong. Anyways, in the mission Lizard Brain, one of Rashidi’s facilities is under attack, in this facility is 5 inventions he is creating for Yuri, among them is a prototype basilisk, so Rashidi is the creator of the basilisk. By Obsidian Sands Rashidi had already given armed basilisks to Yuri, but he didn’t have any armed basilisks himself, so he couldn’t use basilisks to fight back.

Very ironic. And very bad of the team.

It's been a while now.

So I gave the idea of the Dybbuk Defiler some thought-and here is the end result.

The idea of a chemical bomber for SC comes naturally. However, sticking to the "subversive" theme of SC, I'd rather imagine it with a payload that mostly does something other than direct damage. The Oxidiser's corrosive effect comes to my mind, what if the bombs contained chemicals that debuffed the armor of buildings and vehicles that are hit (and dealt direct damage or DOT to infantry, I suppose)?

Edit: reading back, it seems like I originally thought that chem bombs should explode like bloaticks. I guess anything would work as long as it fits SC's theme

That sounds like a flying Oxidizer, which tbh Scorpion Cell could do without for now.

Besides,Scorpion Cell is basically a terrorist group, specialising in guerilla warfare.Their philosophy is "Hit fast, hit hard."Much like the GLA in Generals. So I can't visualize it as doing an armor debuff.

How about the Seraphim being a flying support unit to buff the AOE of pyrokinetic assets from the lowly initiate to the Marauder and Inferno Towers/Antares Cannons. A mobile flying Telsa Trooper-esque unit for Psi-Corp that buffs defenses in a pinch but really shines with units based on pyrokinetic weaponry. I don't mind Psi-Corp venturing further into the fields of Mind Over Matter skills (not necessarily granted by technology but as an inherent trait amplified by technology) such as cryokinesis, pyrokinesis, electokinesis, aerokinesis, hydrokinesis, geokinesis, biokinesis, necrokinesis, whatever-kinesis, etc. But Psi-Corp should be the best at Mind Control than any other faction of Epsilon.

The thing about the Seraphim sounds great, to be honest.
