I don't have a file names "mod" in the dark crusade folder and if i just put it directly the game doesn't react of his presence did i missed something ?

I got it working, there are no required mods.

 

Look in here for your maps, I think the modtools save files here if they don't have permission to save in the normal place.

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade

Damn man it seems like you got the solution, I'll take a look and tell you !

How did you find the maps, were they cool ? (it's not finish but, if you see it from far ^^ or playing it, with your mod it's cool too because terrain lines of sight you know)

And about the mod ? Is everything that working that should be working ? Or the contrary

 

Did the ai cooperated or was it unwilling to do anything ?

What about the weapons and hitpoints ? If you think anything is not realistic enough considering your knowledge of the fluff don't hesitate telling me

mmh, I'll explain it in french because I think the other guys don't need those installation explanations, so they're not missing anything of the conversation :

En gros l'ami, tu ouvres le dossier téléchargé avec winrar ou 7zip ou n'importe quel logiciel avec lequel tu peux extraire le dossier et le fichier archivés (les "désarchiver")

Tu peux les extraire directement dans le dossier contenant le ".exe" du jeu, en général c'est le dossier que je t'ai indiqué c'est à dire : programfiles(x86)/THQ/Dawn of war -  Dark crusade

Et voilà, t'as juste à foutre le dossier du mod (c'est le truc qui pèse environ 1.9 giga une fois dézippé/extrait/désarchivé, nommé M42) et le fichier du mod (le fichier "M42.module") dans ce dossier maître/central du jeu cité juste au dessus

Une fois qu'ils sont dedans tu lances le jeu et tu vas dans "gestionnaire de jeu" dans le menu principal, c'est une des options parmi "campagne", "escarmouche", "multijoueur", "credit" etc, enfin je me souviens plus du nom exact des menus, mais tu devrais pas le rater, c'est un des choix du menu principal quoi

Donc tu ouvres le gestionnaire de jeu, et là normalement t'as une liste plus ou moins longue sur fond noir détaillant tous les mods accessibles par le jeu, c'est à dire tous les mods qui seront présents dans le dossier central du jeu cité plus haut, tu sélectionnes le mod que tu veux (le miens s'appelle M42 du coup) et tu valides (je sais plus le nom de l'option en question mais il me semble que t'as basiquement que deux choix une fois le mod sélectionné, un qui lance le mod et un autre pour revenir au menu principal, donc dans le pire des cas tu ne peux te tromper qu'une seule fois).

Une fois le mod sélectionné et l'option "lancer le mod" (qui porte peut être un autre nom) est choisie le jeu va redémarrer.

Visiblement Moreartillery n'a pas eu de problème et le mod fonctionne chez lui donc tu devrais pas avoir de souci non plus

Justement mon jeu ne détecte pas le mod dans le gestionnaire de jeux rien n’apparaît

le truc bizarre c'est que j'ai essayer de le mètre dans le dossier de soulstorm pour essayer et la le jeu le détecte même si du coup il ne fonctione pas du coup je sais pas ce qui cloche

Sachant que ma version de dark crusade vient d'un CD et pas soulstorm

I don't have the map, that folder isn't in the mod folder you uploaded.

 

The link below explains the problem your having with the mission editor. There should be a virtual store folder that the mission editor saves to when it doesn't have admin privileges to save in the dark crusade folder. You just have to find it and copy the map to the normal location.

Mmh, c'est bizarre ça..
T'as bien dézippé les deux éléments ? Et t'as bien les deux éléments dans le même dossier ?
Essaie de le supprimer (et le dossier et le module) et de le retélécharger, ou si tu as toujours la version zipée à part essaie de les réextraire dans le dossier de Dark Crusade

C'est con parce que pour l'autre gars visiblement ça marche, j'ai pas vraiment de réponse à te donner, je suis désolé. Essaie de demander à notre collègue ici présent, il est bien plus calé que moi, il aura peut être une idée de ce qui cloche..

Sinon peut être que c'est à cause de la version du jeu, tu as bien patché le jeu en V1.2 ?
Ca pourrait expliquer pourquoi Soulstorm le détecte et pas Dark Crusade

Sinon, autre piste, tu peux télécharger le Corsix Mod Studio (gratuit http://modstudio.cor...ownloads-5.html) et lancer le mod à partir de ce logiciel (une fois le logiciel installé, tu le lances et ça te demande quel de quel jeux tu veux ouvrir/créer un mod, t'as le choix de tous les dark crusade I (de Dow classique à Soulstorm), tu fais "load DC mod", ça t'ouvre une fenêtre menant au dossier de Dark Crusade où tu pourras sélectionner le fichier M42.module, une fois le mod ouvert (tu peux fouiller dans les entrailles du jeu et pourquoi pas commencer à moder, c'est pas si difficile à comprendre), tu vas dans la barre d'outils et tu cliques sur "Play", puis "Play in DowDC".

En général lancer un mod depuis un mod manager ou un logiciel de modage ça diminue les chances de plantages ou de problème.

Ok thank you very much, it really seems you found the problem but still I can't find this hidden folder.
What is strange is that a few days ago I deleted my mod, and the maps were missing, but when I pasted my back up folder (the same folders and files I sent to you) the maps were there again, so I concluded that they were in the mod mp folder of the back up too (and so included in the files I sent to you) but as you can't play the maps it seems like it's not the case.

I'll read the link and tell you if it works or not, thank you !

Bon j'ai trouver le problème en fait j'avais pas vraiment installée le jeu j'ai juste fais une copie des  fichier du jeu du coup le jeu n’étais pas considérée comme installé même si il fonctionnais normalement. Du coup maintenant j'ai la bonne version je vais pouvoir commencer les tests..

Ok so i do some game and here is my first report

 

First the Tau

 

The sats of all they uits are broken exemple a fire warrior stats are 40-300 dammage for close combet and 65-288 for ranged the drone make between 960 and 3520 dammage and only have 20hp wtf

The kroots units are all free the vespid and the stealth suits are also free

Many batiments can produce fire warrior including the first upgrade batiments and the vehicle one

There is two case for producing exo armor Crisis in the barracks

 

Not sure if it's a bug or not

the broadside scad can't be augmented and tther's only one member the outpost can also produce differents units and the stealth suits are incredibly slow to build

 

 

Second Tyranids

same problems of broken stat they are just invicible if you don't use a other broken faction

The spore mine doesn't expode when they are killed and ther's no animation effect when they expolde by themselves

 

 

Space marines

 

no special weapon for the assault squad

no chief squad for the scout

 

Orc

Missing texture for the shoota boys bionic eyes and some part on the flash gitz units weapon.

 

 

Main menu bug

When you selected the Necron or the Tau (and the tyrannid of course) it's a tyrannid who appears next to the main menu

 

 

Tell me if some of the stuff i pointed buged are in reality normal

Ok so i do some game and here is my first report

 

 

Cool man, thanks for testing !

I'm going to make some precisions about how the damage and health work, so you can understand some choices I made :

Hitpoints (Health)

Everything is based on two values, the health of a basic guard and the health of a basic space marine. I estimated that one marine should be tenth times more resistant than a human so :
guardman : 100 hitpoints
space marine : 1000 hitpoints

Then, with that base I estimated the health value of the other units like :
Slugga Ork : around 220
Necron : around 1000
Tyranid : around 120
Tau : 95
Eldar : 105
Chaos Marine : 1000

And as vehicles must have a standard too I choosed the predator as a reference with 10 000 health hitpoints and I estimated each vehicle based on that value.
For example, the baneblade 25 000, Hellound 6500, Land Raider 20000 etc


Damages

 

For the damages I based myself on the same values, so I estimated how much damages would a weapon make at the minimum to a guard and at the maximum to a marine, then to a vehicle
All weapons of the same type make pretty much the same damages, sometimes the minimum damage value is higher on a weapon used by a hero or a sergent than the min value for the same weapon used by a basid soldier; because the sergent/hero have more experience, he knows where to shoot to kill or make a lot of damages to the enemy.

So bolters are base on those values (must change a tiny bit depending on who hold the weapon or on the faction, but just a bit) :
150 (so it always kill a man if hits) - 1500 (so it can kill a space marines of a more resistant unit in one shot)

Heavy bolters :

150 - 1600 (but has far more penetration of various armour type such as heavy high infantry armor, and low and medium vehicle such as the ork trucks or the much of the Eldar Vehicles)

 

Lazgun:
45 - 120

Plasma Weapons (Tau weapons are base on a plasma technology, so their damages are based on those values too) :
850 - 2100

Missiles :
750 - 7000

 

Laz Canon :
1350 - 6500

Etc

Sometimes weapons make a lot of damages but they don't have a lot of penetration on all armour types, sometimes they don't have a good accuracy

I don't have that on my version of the mod.
I always have a tyranid menu with the tentacles, but when I select a faction I have the hero of this faction appearing next to the menu.
Don't know why you have that.
We will see if the other guys have this problem on their versions.

YesI saw that already, have the same bug, but I don't have the knowledge about textures and 3D models.

All the models that are not from the vanilla game come from the M42 original mod so I just used them as they were, I'm not actualy able to change them

Well there is no file for them in the mod, I will think about how to add them because I don't know yet

Scout Sergent :
The same, there is no file of a scout sergent in the mod, so, don't know yet how to add models and units, sorry, maybe I'll manage with some more experimented moders advices
