Now the thing is Ive upgraded my mod since maelstrom. I havent added any new units ( because theres no need really and i dont know how lol ) but i have changed the game about a lot. All units have been changed and the battles are mad and chaotic.
Its still being made, but it really is fun to play now. Its the generals we'd all like to see. Fully hands on and no collecting resources, its just strategy and skill no messing about.
I can post some screens of some of upgraded unit, etc which i'll do soon. to see if i can tempt anyone.

- No new units as such but every unit has either enhanced weapons or a new weapon altogether ( like Burton's Baikonur Charge )
- build speed is close to instant and theres no need to get resources so its fully hands on.
- build limits put on all unit so you cant just build 10000000 tanks and own.
- Armours have been amplified to make it so one type of something will do much more damage to another and much less to another this is to make it more strategic.
- Base Defenses have been improved vastly but have 1 main weakness.
- More units can fit in humvee's, bunkers, etc.
- Speed of units has been improved and missile speed improved vastly.
- On all weapons theres a chance they might miss, which makes the game fun.
- Some units have secondary weapons ( like the crusader has a machine gun )
Thats all i can think of at the moment, it basically converts General's into a true war, where your only concern is to defend and then try to work out a way to defeat the enemy.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Peoplewise theres only me at the moment, but i reckon if someone wanted to join up they could. The mod would be even better with someone who could add new units and perhaps graphics as well and ideas.
Its half complete already, well its still more of a compliation of my mad ideas. Needs to be refined and made fair and im trying to make it so every unit has a point. My mate comes round every Tuesday and we test the mod out everytime and everytime he leaves theres always something that needs changing.
But i think when its done, the mod will be good, probably not as good as one of those team mods with antimatter cannons, and fancy new units and graphics, but it will certainly be a 7/10 mod at the very least, perhaps more if i can scrounge up a few people.

Sure use the blackmissile forum, its not like anyone uses it except the odd person who justs posts cus they are extremerly bored. But that dont mean the mod is gonna be called BM, i havent really thought bout the name.

I still cant find a way to improve the AI itself. I fiddled about with the Ai.ini which might have had an effect.
Ive done all i can, i even made it so the AI starts with a base straight away, but i cant see a unit order.

Suppose it serves me right for getting a d/l version of it... But i wasnt gonna pay 40 quid for a game that claims itself as being a C&C game.
But otherwsie Generals is a good game, but should never have been branded a C&C game.

Yesterday i spent 1 and a half hours modding, only to find there was a mistake that i couldnt find... Serves me right for trying to mod too much at once. I wasted 1.5 hours of my life, again..
BTW, whats alise???

I been ill for a while, some bug thats going around :'( so modding was out the question.
Havent modded for a while... But i have completed most of the mod, just got the tedious bits to do (csf stuff..).. which i really hate doing but if i dont do it, then no one will know what is good against what, etc.
Also gotta find a way for the player to actully loose. Cus the only way really is to be outnumbered 7 - 1 or for the player to be a slow builder at the start. I was thinking of nerfing defenses, but that would make it too easy for the player to win.
So any ideas would be helpful

Got a modding question now,
How can i make it so you click a button and the unit changes weapon, much like the ranger and flash bangs? I sorta figured out how too add buttons, but i dont know how to make the buttons do something.
I want to make it so each tank has 2 modes of fire. The first mode is powerful but inaccurate and slow, and the second mode is weak, relatively accurate and faster firing.
