Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Indeed. Last I checked there wasn't anything that would prevent you from getting there with a decent filter. I can access it from school, and they have gamespot and gamespy blocked.

Tried it just now and got on, hmm strange..

Sometimes it wont let me on the forums, yet sometimes i can go straight in. Sometimes even i have to battle with the blocking thing and eventually it lets me in.

Gah i dont know whats up, but GenDev has solved a lot of questions. :D

To be honest i thought GenDev was a mod lol.

But really the site is a great help, and ive just checked out all the tutorials and its inspired me to mod more.

But it still leaves the one question of,

If i make a new side, unit, etc, etc, how can i make it so the computer builds it? Cus its all very well having a new weapon but if the comp cant build it then its almost cheating.

From what i've read in places I don't think you can add anything new, but you can edit the CINE (cinematic moments only) units so that there used as normal.

You can make it use them, but you need to edit the AI. You have to use WB to edit the scripts, and from what I hear, it's no picnic.

That tutorial on adding SEMI weapons is confusing..

Its the way it says copy this and that and the info is all from the ranger.

So i copied it all to a tank replacing the weapons with tank weapons, etc but it didnt work.

So what do i have to put if i want a tank to be able to switch weapons?? Cus that tutorial is confusing. :uh:

Ah stuff my generals mod, its far too time consuming.

In its state ATM it's better than playing normal generals and offers total carnage, but othewise its a bit of a mess and its very hard to loose.

Well if anyone reads this and wants to try it out, perhaps it'll give someone ideas then just post and i'll set up a link or soemthing.

First, you pry loose your Caps Lock key, then you pour Coka Cola over your internet connection.
Then, teach yourself to solve the Rubix Cube. (Very important)
After that, you read Lord of the Rings, all three volumes very carefully, noting interesting info down in a notebook.
The last step is to replace your internet connection with a new one.

If do not know how to do the dezired action, a year or two with Tibetanian Monks will usually help.

I'd have gone with War and Peace, but I guess LOTR may do the trick. Either way; in the end, its all down to the monks... :p
