I think the Usa get pleanty of guys... well mabye 10-20-30 would be cool, but I am thinking that for the infantry general, there be a 5 star generals promotion for the infantry para-drop, it sends down like 50 infantry, 20 rockets, and 30 mini gunners.

then instead of 50 infantry, how about only 40 mini gunners, it still fits within the infantry generals abilities.

Not like he doesn't know how to build 5 assault troop crawlers guys, it's just they come in planes instead.

No, I mean that he gets 8 men per troop crawler, and it's not like he doesn't know how to make 5 troop crawlers. The men would be in the planes, not the troop crawlers.

What about adding a 'king of the hill' feature to PR, I dont know of any mods that have done it before. Make a world builder unit that has a count down timer, have it be counted as a building that cant be killed, and after the timer goes out, everything on the map dies :p except for the captured KOH unit. Each time a player captures it the timer resets untill after 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes it goes off. What do you think?

I partaily get it. If you've ever watched the TV show 'Lost'. You know that the storyline partailly revolves around a secret mountain base (like Chyanne mountain sorta), where the stranded island dwellers have to babysit and press a button every 8 hours or god knows what will happen. Nukes or a Chem weapon maybe? Who knows.

As for the rest of the idea about a unit and stuff, I'm still a bit fuzzy. I hope he comes back and clarifies that one a bit. It sounds like a cool idea.

Anyway, it would also make a wonderful mission map or something. Capture the Balknour missile command center, hold it at all costs. Even add in a script where a certain type of unit must remain in it's perimeter at all times to 'push the button'. If this specific type of unit leaves the area or is destroyed, you have x amount of minutes to get another unit of that same specific type built and back into that area or else you suffer the consequences. If it gets destroyed or captured, the entire map, every square inch of it gets nuked to pieces. Game over, you be toast.

So, if either the command center gets captured (or destroyed), or the specific 'button pushing' unit watching over the command center leaves or gets destroyed, then Kablam! Buh-bye! :excl:

Well I have TRYED doing it with scripting, and it is possible, however it is a horrible task to try to finish, geting everything to work perfectly is like... to much for me to do without assistence. As for clearing things up, I basicly would like to see a unit, dont care what it looks like, an oil derick, a flag, a square box, anything, that you can capture, and acts like a building. The count down timer would be cool if it had like a 5 minute timer unit, 10 minute unit, and so on. It should act like a building so the player who has captured it does not die when everything is killed, or it could just be made so that at the end, that player is simply victoryous. You know what I am talking about now?

Well the paratroops always get flattened by tanks because they suck so bad at anti armor capabilities. What i suggest to improve battlefield life expectancy of these brave and inorganic CG paratroopers is to have them come down with at least 50-24% of the total paradrop as missile defenders. That way, there would be more of an incentive to use the paradrop ability than to use em as suicide diversions. What do you guys think? Possible?

That would be interesting to have something that destroys the whole map if it ever goes off. And yes, in Lost they have to enter 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 into the computer every 108 minutes otherwise *** ******** ***** ******* *** ***** ********. Eventually they **** **** *** ****** ** ****.

Or have a terrorist nuke in a building, the USA have to be there to keep resetting the timer until the bomb squad gets there to shut it off, the terrorists have to keep the USA out until it blows.

Delta: I like that idea, get some more rocket dudes in the paradrop.

Although we may have to fix the standard infantry so they can't kill tanks with some assault rifles.

The improved and balanced marine in the alpha version still seems like the infantry-on-steroids feel. I mean a squad (about 8-10) can have a pretty good kill record of battlemasters and stuff. I am hoping that in the final version it will be just a slight less effective against tanks however should be great against infantry...plus the price should be lowered than 1000 per marine

in essence they practically are walking tanks sice they do so much damage if placed in a combat chinook, same thing applies to chinese grenadiers in an infantry gen attack outpost

I have been talking with my friends, and we all agree, Laser general is slightly overpowered with those lasers. Perhaps you could tone him down a few 'lazing' terrawatts of power?

Also the Super weapon general infantry unit that builds small defenses, well a few of my PR buddies were talking, and we think he should build larger units, that cost money, take a little time to build, and have a little armour. Like the laser point defense thing, could be mabye the size of an EMP missile system, same for the auto missile launcher, and auto mini gunner, just have them cheap and a little weak.

We got dozers for buildin big stuff, but i mean it IS an engineer, a small secondline unit that is supposed to plant demo, repair vehicles (should definitely be able to do that!) and of course make little base defenses so thumbs up for that!

This is a slight off topic but ever play Team Fortress mod for half life? The engineer class on that has the ability to build one really effective minigun turret so is that where you got that idea vanguard?
