As for the rest of the idea about a unit and stuff, I'm still a bit fuzzy. I hope he comes back and clarifies that one a bit. It sounds like a cool idea.
Anyway, it would also make a wonderful mission map or something. Capture the Balknour missile command center, hold it at all costs. Even add in a script where a certain type of unit must remain in it's perimeter at all times to 'push the button'. If this specific type of unit leaves the area or is destroyed, you have x amount of minutes to get another unit of that same specific type built and back into that area or else you suffer the consequences. If it gets destroyed or captured, the entire map, every square inch of it gets nuked to pieces. Game over, you be toast.
So, if either the command center gets captured (or destroyed), or the specific 'button pushing' unit watching over the command center leaves or gets destroyed, then Kablam! Buh-bye!

*WARNING!! OFF TOPIC!!
Well the paratroops always get flattened by tanks because they suck so bad at anti armor capabilities. What i suggest to improve battlefield life expectancy of these brave and inorganic CG paratroopers is to have them come down with at least 50-24% of the total paradrop as missile defenders. That way, there would be more of an incentive to use the paradrop ability than to use em as suicide diversions. What do you guys think? Possible?

Or have a terrorist nuke in a building, the USA have to be there to keep resetting the timer until the bomb squad gets there to shut it off, the terrorists have to keep the USA out until it blows.
Delta: I like that idea, get some more rocket dudes in the paradrop.
Although we may have to fix the standard infantry so they can't kill tanks with some assault rifles.

Also the Super weapon general infantry unit that builds small defenses, well a few of my PR buddies were talking, and we think he should build larger units, that cost money, take a little time to build, and have a little armour. Like the laser point defense thing, could be mabye the size of an EMP missile system, same for the auto missile launcher, and auto mini gunner, just have them cheap and a little weak.

This is a slight off topic but ever play Team Fortress mod for half life? The engineer class on that has the ability to build one really effective minigun turret so is that where you got that idea vanguard?
