Tick tanks. (ti sun, u remember them?)
They would work like this.
Anti tank version and anti infantry version.
Both can fight in tank mode, but would be less effective. When they deploy they get a small range and damage bonus to give peaple more incentive to use them like there ment to be used.
U maybe could give them stealth ability like the pop up patriots.
Radar version, inactive when not deply but when active becomes stealthed and has a large sight area capable of detecting stealthed units.
Shield generator version.
Basicly a small version the shield generator, it would have a smaller area of cover and the shield an not take as meny hits before it fails. just like the main shield generator when hit to much it fails for a short time. this woudl fail sooner or it coudl last just as long but take longer to restart.
Anti air/missle defence version.
Does not work unless deplyed would have anti air missiles in 2 salvos of like 5 missiles each. (subject to change for balancing) Also a meduim quaity point defence system, can destroy missile at a good speed but super so some missiles will get through. Maybe 4 missiles stopped before it needs to recharge its laser (5 seconds laser defence downtime?)
Or u could change this idea to laser general.

u know what is funny when i try 2 take screen shots it doesnt happen but once i forgot 2 turn on my screen shot program and it happenedIt is not a glich u need tech 3 rank 5 and the moab bomb upgrade complete.
The Oni is a moab bomber it makes sence, so if u don't get the fuelai bomb gen pow3er and upgrade it u can't get the oni ok.
Tiker i not gonna say this again me nore pend nore anyone else has a clue what your talking bout go get a screenshot of even better a small 15 second video using fraps or something to show us. Personly i think your the only one with this problem and i personly think ther eis somethign else damaging yourjets not your own planes.

Its a cool enough idea... but thats not the problem. I had started making a modular tank for the USA factions a while back. It used a TomahawkTank chassis and any USA base defense addon could be built on it.... and it looked good. But I found out that no USA needed it. This is kinda true for the unit Pheonix is talking about.Phoenix I like the idea, it could be made upon the chassi of the MCV, so SW got it's own better modular vehicle,
AirF general has a well rounded basic ground force of light vehicles. I'm not going to add any more because I'm also adding a new Helo and Orca force.
Robot has a silly huge sellection of units already... I don't think theres any room for more units.
SupW, dispite being dedicated to Defense has a FULL war factory. Every type of misfit unit was given to SupW to make a low health, high damage ground force.
Laser maybe could use one... but I don't think its whats needed. Laser needs more late game shiney units and powers. I think the Weapons Platform and the Ion Cannon will set Laser up well for the late game.
and by the way, I love the Stryker combinded with the Stryker
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Cause with the Strykerit's basiclly the same with the APCs of Laser. these units can deal much damage are fast but can't take so much!

I said US mainly because i think it suits them, but it could be given to the assult gla or demo general with there own moduls in a more gla look unit.
Also as i said they would all deply and be more usful when deplyed. was just throwing out some ideas

I read somewhere about a vehicle(I am kinda sure I read it will be a modified humvee) with a special weapon system mounted on it, about to be used by the US. It calculates incoming projectile origin that is fired at it, and it fires back at the projectile source extremely fast, taking out the shooter instantly.
Maybe you can add an armoured unit which instantly "fries" anything that shoots it with a concentrated, uber-fast laser shot. Make it maybe long-range, quite ideal to take out enemy defenses as it has a lot of armour and it will fire back with extreme damage.
I don't know, you can play around with such an idea I guess, but it sounds good for Laser Gen late game, it's a highly specialized weapon and could let players get creative with their strategies. Give it a lot of armour so it can actually go in and handle quite a few shots, since it won't have any other means of attack, other than counter-fire.

I dunno... it sounds nice in text... but imagining how it would behave in game is less apealing. Imagine it in this regard... Its a unit that cannot target anything and only returns fire. Why not just use one of the exsisting high damage, long range units to attack first and never have to endager your own units? Artillery is super fantastic against enemy defenses. It can't quite do the job of tanks or artillery and sits in an uneeded grey spot.
In real life a return fire system is a pretty cool idea. And I'm not sure, but I think what your talking about is the same as what I described once in the military&political topic. Artillery uses a special radar to back-calculate the trajectory of incomming fire- feeds the coordinates directly to the gun, artillery adjusts and returns fire instantly. a few moments later the enemy artil/mortar is dead in one shot. We need these toys in real life because you can't just look down at a map and see where the shots are comming from, but in ZH you can always see the enemy, so its just a matter of giving the gaurd or attack orders.
Its a good suggestion, but I don't think it will work.

The new anti ari and missile truck the lazer general has is sweet, u will need to update your lazer gen topic with the 3 new units. minus the plane as thats i added up unles su wanna move it into your single post.Yeah, counter fire would be so cool, but it doesn't have a real use, a big Laser that can shoot down incoming artillery and rockets would be cooler for laser

phoenix, I will, I'll do it, but at the moment I'm totally fead up with school, doing stuff for some of my friends and so on, but I'll get some time this weekend, where I'll do a bit of mapping and update that laser topic
Mapping would be very cool. I've greatly enjoyed the new map. For defensive style play there is nothing better .
I love the urban maps. It might have to be huge, but a 6-8 player map with large urban areas would be Fabu. something like Tournament city, but without the non-urban passes between bases. anyhow, thats my idea... If you map you're welcome to make anything you want.
ooooo.... a thaught. If you have a .big decompiler maybe you can open up the ZHMaps.Big and start checking out the Challenges. It would be more script heavy than your other map, but would be a huge success with the comunity.

Is it possible to change the game zoom so you can see more of the map on screen? if you could add this to remix it would be great as i find the current max zoom out level constricting.
Yes, and I tried it. Its great most of the time, but it also created alot of screen tearing in many maps. The game only draws so much map at a time, and if you over push the engine by trying to force a larger draw it gets mad fast.

OK... how about this for the rebalance of Laser General
1. The Satalite caller is re-allocated as a mobile superweapon and add a new mid/late game laser artillery.
2. The Satalite Relay Superweapon goes away to be replaced with a General's power of the same stlye.
3. The Particle Cannon becomes the new Tech2 Superweapon with matching field units.
4. The Ion Cannon becomes the new Tech3 Superweapon with matching field units.
5. Replace the A10 strikes with an artillery style barrage of Libra shots...
6. Add a new war factory (comrable to the China heavy Warfactory) for adv. units.
7. Replace the Powerplant system with the 2 stage upgrades (Yellow before Blue).
8. Add the Weapons Platform with one-time deploy super heavy weapons.
9. Replace the RA with a more formidable heavy battle tank.
I don't think every general really has to have a mobile super... but I also like the model for the "Wang Ho"... so I've not made a final decision. I'm inclided to think Flame is strong enough already to hold his own with any general.btw 1 other thing, the "wang ho" is gonna make it into remix 3 right? because flame has no mobile supaweapon

The sat strikes will stay almost the same... but I think I'm going to remove the EMP from it. When it was designed it was meant (originaly) as a pure EMP weapon... but it looked too cool to do no damage.... then it needed more damage to fill the artillery role... and as a moble super it really doesn't need the EMP buble, and I think the FX will look better without it.keep the libra definatly, but just ad a new artillary unit. Tbh i would keep the Ra, but just make up upgradeable with the upgrades i said. For the relay supa weapon centre power, make it do ecaticly the same area and damage.
Ofcorse keep the Libra. the weapon FX is fantastic. Its become one of my favorites overnight. the problem with the RA is the model is not suited for addon OR aditional weapons.
My personal thinking for the RA is to make it a larger, more flexable battletank with a variety of weapon... Like a large laser on one side, and a Libra-gun on the other. Plus a missile launcher or a carbon laser on top. Basicly something as versitle as a Chimera with Lighting gun and an addon, but American and lower health/armor. think american but, Armored like an overlord, armed like a Chimera. Available late game only. I don't want it to have AA though... it shouldn't be capable of everything.
I have a cool mental image right now... I'l be likely make it soon while I'm inspired!
