hey pend, can you post the pictures of the other mechs plz ?
and wat other mechs will there be for the cyber general ?
p.s has that other one u posted replaced the dashi, and can you post a picture of wat the dashi looked like?

These are in the game now, and will be staying. the crusader and ranger are included for scale.


This is the Daishi, it will be replaced with teh spider mech I'm working on currently.

Creator got the initial models converted to ZeroHour from an older game and setup the first draft code. He shared them to me. I've recreated all the animations and polished the code. The final version will be available in both Remix and Contra.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, those mechs are fukin swwet !!!! wat are they, from left to right? ( i knoe the hugE onE is the fanfir!), and wat weapons do they have?
also, why wil the spider mech replace the dashi? cant you still inculde the dashi in game, and make it less powerful, or give the spider mech a rocket upgrade ? cause i just love the thought of a barrage of rockets going towaards a tank :p
P.s mech warrior comes to mind :D that game is awsome.

HK-88 Man hunter ----> HK89 Tank Hunter ----> Fafnir

And of course the Stormtrooper Androids in the front Rank.


Sorry... the Daishi has to go. The model is of much lower quality than the new ones, the skinsdon't match, its animations are crude, and the model wasn't mine to begin with. It was only borrowed till I could make something better. Another problem with the Daishi is that in game it mech to closely resembeled the Fafnir... it was just cheaper.

The spider Mech will have a unique look and play style. It will be very fast, very high damage, and able to scale cliffs. Its draw back will be weak armor for a late game unit. From the very begining I've been looking at having 2 versions of the spider mech, one for close assault and one for siege. The long range version will likely have rocket pods and a long range laser. I'm also looking at adding upgrades for Drone control dish, an anti-air missle launcher or anti-missle system.

what weapons do the mechs have?



They have...

Stormtrooper: 50 Cal machinegun, Missle launcher. Effective vs all taget types. Strong in groups. Weak vs area effect weapons.

Man Hunter: High Calabur gattling guns. Strong vs Infantry and Light vehichles. Weak vs Tanks and Air

Tank Hunter: Cannons. Strong vs Tanks and Buildings. Weak vs Infantry and Air

Assault Spider: High Callabur Cannons, 30mm Guns, Microwave Dish. Strong vs all ground targets at close range. Weak vs Long Range and Air

Siege Spider: Rocket Pods, Heavy Laser, Microwave Dish. Strong vs all ground targets at Long range. Weak vs Close range and Air

Fafnir: Lasers, Railguns, MachineGuns, Missles. Strong vs Everything. Strong at short and long range.



Note:

For Anti Air, all units can build Stinger or laser defense drones.

Also, the drone controler can be upgraded to use any drone type for its swarm. A Stinger Swarm and a Laser defense swarm mixed with other units makes you nearly imune to aircraft and missiles.

The new skin, complements of Creator.


The Assault Spider in combat.



There have been a couple small changes to the spider. It still has the Cannons and Guns, but the Microwave dish has been removed. It now has small missle packs on the top.

Its also slightly smaller and with less health, but it is faster and better suited for hunting, intercept, or flank attacks. In large groups its high damage is quite lethal, even to super units.

Yes, Pheonix has done some testing for me.

No pictures of the siege spider yet, I'm still working on its weapon effect. Rightnow it has 2 large rocket pods that fire ALOT of missles. It does too much damage as it is, so the extra weapons have been removed.

Once I've got it all tweeked out I'll post it.


No, no rail gun defense. I had one in Remix2.75 but the fire base from Contra.04 was better. Also, the rail gun on the fafnir is too similare to the anihilator base defense... its just a different color. Its fine on one unit, but would be akward on something used as much as a base defense.

Umm how about changine the incoming direction of those superweapon airplanes that drop paralyzing barrels followed by an airplane strike to every trigger.
It's fraustrating, u cant even defend because they show up directly from the corner of my base

Maby. at the time I first set them up I didn't know a better way to create a random formation. Although, as a lvl5 general power it doesnt' bother me too much it can't be defnded against. Artillery and laser strikes all fall into the same catagory.
