Just the question, is the size of the firing base calculated in the hole range progress, or could it be that all attackers have, you could call it a range bonus against these defences, cause their turret is in the middle of the base and the attackers can fire at the edge of the firing base!
And Pend, could you perhpas check all the stuff with the chain lightning, cause it seams that all units already have the botton, and with the generals point spent the chain lightning isn't getting more powerfull


chain lighting problem? o.O i never had this problem. weird altho i did have robots rangers not cap buildings and u all did so idk lol.

a upgrade for the gattling cannon that makes them good aginest tanks would be good in this mod
the HEAT round upgrade in REBORN 5 :the last stand would be good(idk if it is in reborn v6 because i cant play it with out a patch)

what is the differecne between the nuclear gattling cannon and the normal 1 execpt the nuke 1 fires brust and is a bit more powerful? it doesnt even leave any readiations does it?

The flame general could have a flame throwing defense(like in RA1)that is good againest infantry

They are not nicking upgrades from another mod so no heat rounds upgrade besides there is already a good number of capable defences, gattling guns was never ment to be good agest tanks that is why chona has a bunker aswell >.<

the nuke gattling guns fire nuke rounds (not explosive) that has a small area of effect and is pretty much more powerful.

Flame general already has a flame tower upgrade opsion on its modular towers, idk if contra v5 is having the same sort of tower but i would guess yes.

hind is alread planed for one fo teh gla i think assult gen. not sure about others.
huey blackhawk are not in nore is cobra, i think the apachi is in there but i can't remember.

yes, this is true, and unavoidable.

If you read back you'll notice this is a bug I posted a while back as one of my goals to fix before the next WIP.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Phoenix, there is no KA-50 there is just that stupid flame gen chopper where the picture of a Ka-50 is used, by the way, there is as far as I know no land on the world that uses the Ka-50, cause russia chose the Mi-28!
Yes there is an Apache for Cyber
Airforce will get new choppers, but most likley there won't be anymore

Pend can you perhaps get rid of the range reduction of the Airforce defences?, or give him the mighty pathfinder back! He wouldn't even need a sniper rifle upgrade!

:p you don't have to call it stupid just because you don't like it. Creator recently told me he was planning to us it in Contra.05 aswell. and btw I love the unit. I call it KA-70 because it is infact much heavier than a KA-50, but the pic was as close to a match as I was going to find on google.

THERE IS NO RANGE REDUCTION ON THE AIRFORCE DEFENSES!!! How many times do I need to say this?!?! IT USES THE SAME WEAPON SET!!! Identical! Same range! Same rate of fire! same damage! It uses the same friggn gun!

and I've already agreed to give back the pathfinder in another, earlier post.

what about more tanks
the chinese tank general have mostly heavy tanks and beside heavy tanks there are only light tanks
and the heavy tanks are way 2 big
T90 could be a medium tank/light

I think the GLA stalth general(or someother 1 idk)have the scripian with missiles that reloads so slowly. and GLA super units the sandking and destroyer looks way 2 big 2

Ok, do I got It wrong? That was the "range reduction" or call it range bonus for attackers! What about it?
I just want to have it clear!
But with the sniper back it's ok

Drake, I'm not changing it. your "range bonus" theory applies to EVERY unit and structure in the whole game. every single one of them. The ONLY plausable solution is to up the range of every unit to include its geometry... but now, if a tank turns sieways to fire we will have to worry if it is getting a range bonus because its nose isn't as close to the enemy. If you up the range of every unit in the game to adjust for thier geometry you'll just have hundreds of identical weapons with petty 5 ft and 10ft differences.

You cannot convince me that the USAF defenses are crippled because they have a foundation that is the width of an infantry trooper wider than the patriot turret. I also play the game and I use those very same defenses every time I play and I have never had a problem. they are rock solid. Enemy tanks and infantry aproach and are destroyed by a force of combined arms defenders. I use a combination of artillery units, defenses, and airsupprt and I don't have a problem with them.

As I said, it's ok, with the snipers coming back! That Range thing was with the Gattling defence turett, because it sometimes couln't fire at rocket troopers, which are spawning like hell since there is the option to produce them in groups, but the sniper will deal with those guys now, so I don't have a problem anymore

I think you need to stop thinking along the lines of real life units Remember this mod is not a TC and nore is it aimed at making the game as realistic as possable.
The tank general is fine, you have not played with remix V3 yet so don't worry. Once u get your hands on teh release of remix u will be loving the tank general, he has a good mix of tanks abiltys and should more or less please you

what about adding the harrier
it could work like the new crop duster with the landing and take off button and landing without airfield
it could also reload on the ground without a airfield
i think it should work like the helicopters

I'm just throwing this out there.
No need to get angry if you don't want to.
Why not close this topic and crack down on completeing it.
Almost everythird Idea is some thing like
"Add the T-37" or "add the Longbow"
It's... Slightly annoying. to me at least.
(Note I just threw a number next to a t for the first one and the
second is the Assisted Targeting System for the Challenger 2)
