I was just wondering, do you need to have a different unit for each type of IG?
in EAW, the infantry units have idfferent skins on different types of planet. so if i took some stormtroopers to hoth, they would be snow troopers. if i waas to then take them over to courscant, they would be standard stormtroopers.
perhaps you could use this so IG have a valhallen skin on ice worlds, a steel legion skin on planets like Armagedon, a catachan on thick forest worlds and so on.
after all it would be hard to manage all those different types of infantry, having to move you catachens to a ice world to prepare a force to attack a nearby jungle world because the vahallens already there would stand no chance if you were to use them....

thats just stupid, cadians dont just turn into valhallans.. theyre not some kind of twisted morphing beings...
Cadians will have different camo schemes depending on what world theyre fighting on.
The difference between the regiments wont be that big, for instance if you are to fight on an ice world with some cadians, then if it starts snowing or whatever they will move slower and all that eaw kinda stuff, but then valhallans will not be affected if the blizzard thing occurs.. you know.. like stormtroopers when they've been upgraded with that merc building upgrade thing.
It's just a cool addition.

I had an awsome, but short, vactation last week. I went down to Camp Roberts, which is in southern CA, and did some very cool things. First I spent half a day on the ICS 2000(Infantry Combat Simulator) which basically is a huge wall with a Projector and on the other end of the room is an assortment of weapons(real ones) hooked up to a computer system and an air compression system. The thing is awsome they just decide what they want to do put it in the computer and then you fight. The weapons actually kick and make noise so when everyone is firing you can't hear a damn thing. Anyways this was probably the funnest and most stisfying video game I have ever played.
Next we went to their vehicle maintaniance and storage facitlity and took a tour. Camp Roberts is also the second largest base in the US with armor. We saw all the tanks and recovery vehicle, the "tow truck" that the use for tanks is actualy twice as big as an Abrams, it's F'ing huge. Then at the end we rode in ad APC for a Half hour off road.
